In honor of the obscure TNA wrestler thread, I thought it be interesting to look back on some of the people wwe thought might be stars one day. I'll start with body building enthusiast Jason Mullen He looks like the poor man's Brad Maddox.

Lift Sawyer will always be my favorite obscure NXT guy, for how generic he looks despite having such a silly name. I bet he listens to Theory of a Deadman.

Current AJPW Triple Crown Champion Joe Doering was in developmental for a cup of coffee as Drake Brewer. No idea what happened, I thought he was a great prospect.

Ron Myers looks like a recently paroled dad who rides a motocyle and wears jean jackets to impress his kid into liking him. Wasn't that the plot for one of Triple H's movies?

Especially in the case of guys like Joe Doering, I wonder if news of their success elsewhere makes it back to the developmental folks. "Yeah, this guy you decided wasn't worth anything is holding one of the most prestigious championships in Japan."

"Yeah, this guy you decided wasn't worth anything is holding one of the most prestigious championships in Japan." Considering the state of AJPW, no. More than likely they pity the poor booker that saw him as their best option.

Holy hell, that's what Rampage Brown used to look like?! Here's how he looks now. Personally think this is a much better look. Wait, that's the same person?

Lucky Cannon, I'm not imagining he had a weird heel turn, right? Nope, that happened. It was during the bizarre NXT Season 5 just before they dropped the whole game show aspect of it. To sum that whole thing up, just imagine him being as obnoxious as humanly possible while wearing this number.

This Guy Seriously that was essentially his name. He was a jobber so lowly that he had no name so the crowd chanting "Let's go this guy". When he nearly beat NXT champion Bo Dallas he got a bigger reaction than most people on the main roster. Genuinely one of my favourite moments of the past few years. I really wish this guy got a roster spot, and was literally just called "This Guy" and exemplified every Jobber Stereotype ever, glorious.
