- We noted before that The Great Khali was moved from WWE’s main roster to the Alumni roster. Another talent has been removed from the roster page – Brad Maddox.

Maddox is also listed on the Alumni roster now.

Maddox last appeared in a WWE App video in October, talking about sitting home for months with no job.

Makes some sense. He's been MIA save for that one house show appearance, but still, I'll miss that man and his tight shirts.

Well that whole run was anti-climatic. I don't think Brad offered a single thing during that run. He should have been kept in that Danny Davis referee role. Hell, the Authority having their own corrupt ref would have made sense.

I don't pay too close of attention to the product. Was Scott ever hired back? Even so, I think Brad would have garnered more of a reaction in the role.

Yeah, he came back a couple of times.

he was first brought back as a referee at Battleground 2013 as the replacement ref when the first was knocked out.

then he came out at Wrestlemania 30 during the Main Event and Bryan kicked him in the face I believe.

Someone read the news story about Great Khali possibly being released because he was moved to the Alumni section. Then someone looked over there and saw Maddox and thought, "Hey! Maddox is there too!"

But Brad Maddox has been in the Alumni section for awhile because he was fired in storyline. Just like Brie Bella was moved there when she "quit."

It really just proves how lazy news sites can be.

But this shouldn't be news... after all at one point one of them reported a joke from this forum as fact.

A shame if he was really let go. He could have filled out the role of generic eye-candy babyface quite well (a back-handed compliment I know, but a compliment regardless). There were several options to explore with his character so it's a shame that he ended up lost in the shuffle.

Maddox is young enough and talented enough (and OK, gosh darned handsome enough) that he can be used for so many things in WWE or NXT. Khali..not so much.

This isn't even true. He's been "alumni" for a while and just came back a few weeks ago on the app.

Dirtsheets are just suddenly realizing there's an alumni section on wwe.com and make assumptions.

If anyone can benefit from an NXT run, it's Maddox. Have him be their top heel too now that Tyson is moving back up to the main roster.
