So the other guy won't touch modern WWE at all ? For some reason that really annoys me.

I'd be doing exactly the same if I was doing the podcast, I just cant be arsed sitting through any of todays shows, yet I can watch the interminable Wrestlemania 4 in one sitting.

I really don't like the direction OSW has taken. Do we really need another podcast dedicated to how modern wrestling isn't good?

I loved the older stuff. I'm fine with happening to review a crap wrestling show as and when they pop up but with Ready to Rumble and Scooby Doo, December to Dismember and WWECW and everything else they've covered it seems like so long since they actually did what drew me to them in the first place. They've not done a proper review of a proper wrestling show in what must about a year or more. It's like a Network retooled version of itself now. And that's not a criticism.....okay, it is. But it should be about reviewing wreslting humorously not just taking the piss out of its most ridiculous events. The beyond parody doesn't need parody. The laughter used to be in the boys finding funny shit where you never assumed it to be. Now it's like "I know all this crap is lame, why do I need you to tell me for two hours?"

You guys know they did give this show a positive review right ?

I really like those guys.
That being said, I to share the displeasure of their veering off course.
In the end, it's their gig and they certainly can do what they want with it, but I'd much prefer they lampoon more eighties and nineties events as they did in the beginning.
I don't mind the odd strange episode, but I don't care what they thought of Metal Gear, Scooby Doo or anything the WWE is running now.

Although they did actually give a favourable review to Survivor Series, I agree with your point. Obviously its their show and they can do what they like with it, but I'd much prefer them to cover the more "Old School" aspects of wrestling which they did so well for the Hulkamania era. Surely there is much more material to work with before they had to branch out into movies, video games and modern day WWE.

love this show and love that they do some current stuff now too - really looking forward to their new old stuff but if you ever hear the lads chatting about putting those old shows together, with the detail they go into, it takes ages - they seem to be able to put these newer ones together a lot faster so they are essentially bonus episodes, so yeah, sweet. Never understood people bitching about others that produce really good wrestling related content online - would you rather they didn't spend hours upon hours of their time putting these together? Keep up the good work lads.

This is the first time I've listened to OSW; wow I wasn't aware Frodo Baggins did wrestling reviews.

I was introduced to them when they reviewed older shows, but I've become more of a regular viewer since they switched to doing current PPV's. I just prefer them I guess.

Great listen. Never thought I'd ever hear a Robogarda reference.
