So, thoughts on a possible Samoa Joe return to ROH? I can see it happening but don't know that I want it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up for The Anniversary Show.

If Joe shows up at the Anniversary Show I will lose my f***ing mind. I know he's not in the shape he was in '04 or '06 or hell even '08 but I'll be damned if, even in 2014, I didn't enjoy Joe's work. He's still awesome and an ROH return would make me very happy.

I'm am trying to think of what I would like to see out of Joe it he returns and this is what I can think of:
vs. Jay Briscoe vs. Alberto El Patron vs. Michael Elgin w/partner vs. reDRagon
Him vs. post-TNA AJ Styles could be interesting but I think someone else will pull that off first. Of course he could also end up like Hero and being freelance siding with WWNLive too.

Oh if he just loses a bit of weight and gets some motivation from this very new change in his career he would be unstoppable for an incredible return.
Motivated Joe vs ACH Alexander Sydal Ciampa w/Partner vs Young Bucks w/Partner vs reDRagon etc Return matches against Styles, Lethal, Kaz, Daniels
They would all be spectacular. So much potential *if* he is motivated

No mention of Joe vs. Cole yet? If ROH plan on keeping Cole heel when he returns then him playing the chickenshit heel vs. monster face Joe could be awesome.

I can see the storyline already if they go for Joe-Lethal, and I'd love it.
I'd also love him just coming out at the end of the 4-way main event and just wasting everybody.
Truthfully, I don't think there's a single match on the entire roster waiting for Joe that isn't an exciting prospect, especially when you consider this might be just in time for the ROH-New Japan crossover shows as well.

Motivated Joe vs So much potential *if* he is motivated i second that but they can't do Joe vs. Daniels. their three matches over WM weekend 2006 were promoted as the last time they would ever face each other in ROH, and ROH doesn't utilize the same selective memory as WWE and TNA.

The few recent times TNA's gotten behind him (2012 TV title feud with Magnus, spring 2014 main event push) he's put in great work. I can't see ROH not making Joe a priority and setting him up for potential greatness. It's going to be wonderful.

I saw this discussion before I noticed the TNA thread and thought you guys were out of your minds, but after seeing he's finally a free man I am ready for Samoa Joe to be relevant again and tearing it up. Joe vs. Elgin is a big one I would like to see, there aren't very many matches I'd turn down. It's a whole different world from when Joe was bangin'.

On one hand, I really don't particularly care how another dude's body looks. On the other side of the same hand, Hero was in a wheelchair with a terrible injury over the summer that, in order to maintain his own health, could not have exercised through. These things happen and the fact that he hasn't bought new gear to accommodate his weight gain shows that it's only a temporary thing for him. Regardless, if we're talking ut based on physical appearance, Joe looked great in 2012 and early 2014. He's going to be great and I have all the faith in the world in both him and Hero.

I thought Karl Anderson was the leader now?
