I'm curious why everyone hates TD so much. I think the capoeira style is really unique and interesting, he just needs to develop a personality to go with it. Honestly, his kicks look really sloppy at times, to the point where it's obvious as day that he's not even touching his opponent. Admittedly, I haven't seen him wrestle in several months but that's what I remember the last time I saw him.

Think TD also made a tweet over the weekend about getting back into MMA.
Alberto in ROH will be ace.

Dave Meltzer reports in the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Alberto El Patron will be appearing on several ROH shows starting next month. The news was meant to be announced during the PPV on Sunday, but ROH didn't receive his videotaped promo in time for it to air. Hoooolyyyy shit.

It should be interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets.

So El Patron, he would be the first former WWE Champion to compete in ROH? Guerrero hadn't won it yet, I don't think Foley wrestled, same for Flair, and obviously Punk and Bryan hadn't gotten their yet. That is pretty huge if it happens. Have to imagine he is there to help a lot with Texas and Vegas.

Alberto is going to be 2015 Ja Rule/Drake. Every time you watch a non WWE wrestling show next year, there will be ADR and Ricardo.

I'd go with Bucks/reDRagon from WOTW. Although Steen/Nakamura and Styles/Cole were utterly amazing matches too.

Posted in the PWG thread, didn't see it posted here. Bad news if that's the case. Also explains why the build-up seemed skewed towards Cole regaining it at Final Battle. Hope he's not gone too long.

Jay Briscoe is one lucky SOB. He wins the title because Elgin has visa issues then retains it because Cole might be injured. I like Jay but man he's got some sort of luck going on right now. Here's hoping it's him vs. Styles at the Anniversary Show and Styles wins it.

I'm kind of glad it's worked out this way, though it sucks for Cole. The Jay Briscoe never being pinned/submitted in two years deal is really adding a weight to his matches so I'd like to see someone get a major rub from that. Only problem is it becomes a question of who should do it, which I guess the list of guys isn't that large right now. Tomasso Ciampa could be the guy, and a Tomasso/Jay feud would be off the charts in terms of badassery.

i'm glad it worked out this way for two reasons:
1) ROH has always set itself apart by not having a lot of world champions with multiple reigns. it took seven years for there to be one 2-time champion (Aries), and then another five years for there to a second. i don't like the idea of ROH going from having only one 2-time ROH World Champion to three in the period of three months.
2) Fight Without Honor is a feud ending match, and starting with Pearce's run as booker the champion usually gets a rematch when they lose the title. so why have Jay lose the feud only to turn around and have another match because he gets a rematch for his title.

He seemed genuinely excited to be at the HoH show earlier this month. He showed more charisma in those few minutes than he did in years with the WWE. If he brings that to ROH, I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

This is definitely a great move for ROH and for Del Rio. ROH get a pretty big star, and I think he'll have more freedom to do Lucha Underground and Japan dates. I feel he's a lot like AJ Styles, though AAA for him will be like New Japan for AJ.

Alberto will make his debut at the tv taping on January 3 in Nashville (which seems like its become the place to bring in big names to the company following Styles last January and The Addiction in June)
