I love hour long matches, Bret vs Shawn, Flair matches, Punk vs Joe, 1 hour matches are maybe my faveourite type, theyre usually preceeded by long buildup with a story that carries into the match and evolves and eventually concludes.
I HATED Lethal vs Strong, hated it, Im a big fan of both guys, have been for years but this match was atrocious, it seemed like an hour long practice session where they try out moves, have I missed something? Was there ANY story or meaning to anything that happened in the match? I also love macthes that are based on the competition aspect, treating the match as if it were real with minimal story but that was impossible, contrived spots, no selling.
What on earth happened here? Why were they even given an hour? This wasnt the end of some long feud. And then it ends in a DRAW?? Who benefits from that? Everyone knows that Roddy is amazing so the result does nothing for him and now IMO Lethal looks WEAK, 60 minutes and he couldnt put away a guy that hasnt had a title in how long?
I probably sound like such a hater but I'm just really annoyed, I was so psyched to see this match.

Haven't seen the match, but apparently you're alone here, dude. People LOVE that freaking match. It's Lethal vs. Strong. Sounds great to me, from what I've heard about it.

I don't really agree with you saying there was no selling, because given the lengthy nature of the match they almost had no choice, I guess it just depends on how you feel about fighting spirit spots because there were definitely cases of Strong coming back from the dead with a flurry of offense. You kind of contradict yourself, too. Everyone knows that Roddy is amazing so this does nothing for him, and yet on the same token Lethal looks like a chump for going 60 minutes against him? In this particular match I think Roderick needs the nudge more than Lethal, Lethal has credibility by way of people loving his performances and obviously being double champion. Roderick hasn't really had any accolades for a while and if he just lost this match it would have been pretty easy to cast him aside and assume this as a filler feud. I thought the booking was good, they obviously want Roddy to be in that upper echelon of guys, and they've been swinging him in that direction for a while and this match definitely put him there to me. The story going in wasn't dynamite, but there was enough there, with Roderick saying that his whole strategy was to grind Lethal out.

I like the burst of offence fighting spirit spots, watching and loving G1 at the moment but I just didnt feel them in this match, and theres ALWAYS time for selling, like I could see that they were tired&sweaty but they didnt look in pain, just move after move. Am I right in thinking this is Lethal's 1st defence? After beating Jay freakin Briscoe who was undefeated for so long, being a double champ and being billed as one of the best right now Lethal should have crushed Roddy in 20 minutes, not a squash but he should have beat him and another loss in a world class match isnt gonna hurt Roddy. I dont know, I just really didnt dig this match at all, different strokes and whatnot. Castle vs Cole was amazing though, Cole has the crowd in his palm.

Is ROH ever doing a Year Five compilation? Hate how slow these are to come out.

I liked the title match. Yes there was a lot of no-selling with a lot of spots, but it's not like the spots didn't have psychology to them. Lethal does the handspring, Strong catches him and takes him down, very next attempt, Lethal again goes for his finisher, deliberately overshoots it so Strong can't counter him again, Strong is confused, turns around, eats a superkick. That's just strategy right there.

Funny how the pic is of 2010 Kings of Wrestling rather than the 2006 KOW.

Funny how the pic is of 2010 Kings of Wrestling rather than the 2006 KOW. all of them are like that. the Danielson and Aries pics are both from 2008. its to make them more recognizable to mainstream wrestling fans, which is the same reason CM Punk, who only wrestle one match that year, is on the front cover instead of Homicide, Nigel McGuinness, BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Jacobs, Colt Cabana, Delirious, Roderick Strong, Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, the Briscoes, or countless others who made significantly bigger contributions to ROH that year

Can some one who is artistically inclined create a GIF of the WWE logo with a sinister smile on it's face, whipping it's dick out and slapping people in the face as they hold up fist fulls of dollars?

Anybody else from here going to their return to the Buffalo area at the end of September? My seats aren't great since I wasn't able to get them for awhile after they went on sale.

anybody know who the members of Nuclear Casserole are? FIP results tonight listed them as Nuclear Kaasarole (Chase Brown and Peter Kaasa). i guess the fact that casserole was spelled different made it hard to find the on the interwebs.
