Two things make me ask this question. First, I saw a guy wearing a shirt last week that said "shut the f*** up" on it. Then, this week we get Punk's "Welcome to Chicago Motherf***er" on it. Now, I kind of really want that shirt, but I'm a bit undecided.
So, as the title states, would you wear a shirt with the word "f***" printed on it?

Depends on where I was wearing it. Around the house, sure, why not, but probably not out unless I had a hoodie to wear over it.

Then I remembered I've had people give me shit for wearing a shirt that says "Promote Violence" on it. When it comes down to it, I'll most likely get it, but I'm just curious how others feel.

I get shit for wearing wrestling shirts as well But at TBIS point they are 90 percent of my shirts so I don't care anymore. I also go by the same through process as punk on "bad words" so if a shirt offended someone that's more there problem then mine

Hell, anyone who's read my posts over the last however many years I've been here, knows the word f*** is obviously my favorite word in the English language, & probably appears in half my posts. Like they say, sticks & stones...

Depends on the shirt but not really. I don't really like bringing negative attention towards myself in public.

Nah, I'd have no where to wear it since I am around youngins a lot. If it was censored I'd be all over it.

I wouldn't do it because I wouldn't want my child asking what that word means and don't want someone else's to have to do the same. And this coming from someone who will wore the same pair of clothes three straight days last week, only changing my underwear and socks and would have gone four had my wife not confiscated them and threw them in the washer. ^ This right here so very much.

I don't care what others think. In general I have the attitude "if you don't like me (or whatever) too bad, that's your problem, not mine". My initial reaction to someone questioning a shirt would be to tell the person to f*** off. The problem cones in when it's a mother with little kids. That's a tricky situation. Again, I'm really just curious how others feel.

Now while I'm perfectly fine with reading my children "Go the f*** to Sleep", by no means am I under the delusion all parents are as loose tongued with their own kids as I am with mine. I'm at their school daily so there would be no real time or place for me to be able to do it.

Not at all. I have worn a lot of heavy metal shirts in my life and a lot have stupid sayings on the back that make me a little embarassed. Something dumb like "Weakness is the Un-Purity" or "Salivating to Gods of Decoramadamadam". But that's because I'm bashful, low-key and like going unnoticed. Something with the work "f***", no. I say the word more that anyone but wearing a shirt is too low-brow even for me. And when I see people wearing a shirt with the word f*** on it they are usually the most obnoxious people in the crowd and have the least chance of people wanting to be around them.
I'm at the point in life where I'm happier with a band t-shirt that simple has the bands name printed on it with a faded picture.

No.I'm the furthest thing from a prude, but having " f*** " on a tshirt screams "Look at me!" and that's not my deal.

The only places that I really wear T-Shirts are places where I wouldn't care if f*** was printed on it or not, so sure. Doesn't bother me.

Nah, I'm not really comfortable going out in public wearing something like that. Hell, I had a shirt reading "never mind the bollocks" once. Never wore it out, I would have felt like such a tool.
Also I already feel really scummy when I catch myself swearing around kids, I don't want to risk being an even worse influence on them.

To wear around my friends/around the house? Sure. Wearing it in public? No. I'm not going to wear that in front of kids.

Again, I'm really just curious how others feel. I misread what you said. I took it as you were going to wear it to see what the reactions would be. Other than apologizing for the bluntness, I stand by my statement. I gotcha. There's always a time & place. I wouldn't wear it when I know there's going to be a bunch of kids around. To the bar? Absolutely.
