Not really. I'm the kind of douchebag that wears shirts with very little design in them, slightly spiked hair and a half-shave. Nothing against the word f***, it's a f***ing great word to use. Just wouldn't fit me.

I've owned one in my life. It was an Iced Earth shirt with:
ICED
F***ING
EARTH
on the back. They're one of my favorite bands, and I had zero f***s to give about wearing it. I didn't buy it because it had that word on it, I bought it because I loved the design on front.

Seems like a lot of potential hassle for so little payoff to me. Not saying that you should appease anyone, but is the negative attention really worth it?

No. I don't curse so it would seem odd wearing a shirt with a curse word on it.

I gotcha. There's always a time & place. I wouldn't wear it when I know there's going to be a bunch of kids around. To the bar? Absolutely. Depends on the bar. Some won't allow it (you may not care to go to those bars anyway, though, so no big loss) I remember one time paying (for me and one other, actually) to get into a bar/club, took two steps inside, and was thrown out for wearing a football jersey. I mean, you couldn't have told me that 10 seconds earlier before I handed you $20? And then he gave me shit for not barreling over folks to get out. </hijack> Yea, I wasn't allowed into a strip club once because I was wearing a plain white T-shirt. This was after my mother in law's funeral (don't ask) and I just took off my dress shirt & had the white T & dress pants on. Had to grab a sweatshirt out of my car to wear. At this point I don't go to bars/clubs that have dress codes. On the rare occasion I do go to a bar, it's the corner type with the guy who lives on his stool. Kind of like Cheers in a way.

Patti Smith wore a "f*** the Time" shirt. I'd wear that.

Depends on where I was wearing it. Around the house, sure, why not, but probably not out unless I had a hoodie to wear over it. Yea, I live in the bible belt, I'd get lots of sideways looks if nothing else. It would be cool around my people though.

No.
I always see these kind of shirts as a cry for attention, like "Hey, look at me and be offended!"
Truth is, I'm not offended. It's just a lame shirt worn by someone who needs to grow the f**k up.

Patti Smith wore a "f*** the Time" shirt. I'd wear that. Poor Morris Day. But then he would sing "Jungle Love" & be happy again

I understand why Punk has that shirt as that quote is actually the full name of his double underhook backbreaker. Knowing that, I wouldn't wear it as no one else would be likely to get the reference, and I'd look dumb as a 30 year old with an f-bomb on their shirt.

I have a Jim Morrison shirt with a page of court transcript printed on the back that says f*** and cock and probably a few other words I can't recall. It's small enough you'd have to be right on top of me to read it, since it's an entire page.
So, I gotta answer yes.

Tacky. So tacky.
Also, hey everybody, look at me.
There are exceptions, of course. At a wrestling show, alright cool. At a concert where it might fit, ok. At a protest environment to get a rise out of people, I get it. To wear something like that in public just to wear it, it says a whole lot of other words about that person other than the f-word.
Even something like a shirt that says "[eff] racists" says a lot about the person wearing it more than the message on the shirt. I'd mark for that shirt in the right context. But just to be wearing it in geneal public, sigh.
One guy's opinion, that's all.

No.
Besides that, I'm pretty sure it would breach anti-swearing in public laws.

I used to own one of Cradle of Filth's "Jesus is a c***" shirts.
So yes.

When I was 16, I had an Ozzfest shirt with the F bomb on it. Over a decade later and whatever was appealing about being "edgy" in that way is now lost on me. To each their own, but I find it tacky and disrespectful.
