I feel like I was watching the NCAA Tournament Selection Show in March where the head of the committee comes on and makes a fool of himself trying to defend some bizarre seedings.

Wonder how big the payoff was to get Ohio State into the top 4? This is total and pure horseshit. Sure, blowing out a ranked team in a championship game had no affect at all. Magically Ohio State's loss to definition-of-average team gets erased while TCU gets run out of town for losing to a top 10 team earlier in the year.

So, anybody giving Ohio State a shot against Alabama? Alabama had a tough time defending Auburn. So yes Ohio State has a legit chance.

So, anybody giving Ohio State a shot against Alabama? The Wisconsin team Ohio State throttled beat one team all year that ended up ranked at the end (Nebraska 25th). Alabama is a whole other beast. Good luck to the 3rd stringer. This isn't Wisconsin.

I don't get it. OSU has a bad loss that gets worse and worse as the season goes on, and yet they get in over a team that lost to a Top-10 team on the road AND the aforementioned Top-10 team? Bullshit.

Bullshit. Problem is.....that Baylor team has the same record as you so yeah, Baylor and TCU cancelled each other out. This committee doesn't feel like dealing with co-champs. Blame your conference.

I still think TCU should have got in.
Eight team playoff:
1. Alabama 8. Mississippi State
4. Ohio State 5. Baylor
3. Florida State 6. TCU
2. Oregon 7. Michigan State

Michigan State 8 team playoff will cause the same headache for us fans that the four team playoff right now does. Someone is always going to get left out.

So, anybody giving Ohio State a shot against Alabama? They'll throttle 'Bama and choke against FSU just to further the craziness and evil of it all.

I hate every team but Oregon. Also what two schools does the Big 12 add next year? Houston and Boise State The Only way they go west is if they can flip WVU for Arky with SEC. Having a team in the East Coast and Mountain Time Zones is not good.

I think every conference champion should get in. I think every conference winner (plus the highest ranked independent) should automatically get in and then you have 5 wild card teams get in to make it a 16 team playoff. In the Big 12, Baylor would be the champion due to their head to head victory over TCU. The way they have the playoff now has basically killed any interest I have in college football. I'll take the BCS over the way they do it now. A 16-team with conference champions works, but considering there's only four independent BCS schools, that's too small to justify them getting their own automatic bid. However, if they gave BYU/Notre Dame/Army/Navy the same clause Notre Dame got during the BCS era (if the highest-ranked independent wins 10 games, they automatically get a playoff spot], that'd work better. Of course, personally I'd prefer a move to "8 team playoff, ONLY conference champions are eligible...but the BCS adds 9 FCS teams to get up to 128 BCS teams, then realigns everything to 8 16-team superconferences with championship games, so it's REALLY a 16-team playoff", but that's just me.

People aren't giving enough respect for the Teams Ohio State did beat
-Beat a Navy team on the road that's always a tough matchup due to their scheme -Beat a 9 win Cincinnati team that is co-champion in the AAC -Beat a 10 win Michigan State on the road -Beat an 8 win Minnesota team on the road in awful weather -Demolished a 10 win Wisconsin team
Baylor big wins: -Beat a great TCU team -Destroyed an 8 win Oklahoma team -Beat 9 win Kansas State
TCU big wins: -Beat an 8 win Minnesota team -Beat 9 win K-state -Beat an 8 win Oklahoma team
Just looking at the big wins (which I count more than losses, TCU losing to Baylor shouldn't be look as a great accomplishment. Most teams will lose to Baylor) it seems to me Ohio State deserves to get in on how many good teams they beat.
