That is exactly the order I predicted last night. Like I said, this opens up the committee to criticism since they had TCU at number three last week (which was a mistake I called out last week) and now they drop three points to six despite a blow-out win. What did they do to fall? I'm not really upset, I am just stating what the big talking point is now. If they had ranked TCU better last week, then they wouldn't look so bad this week dropping them to six.

They basically said that if you watch the weekly rankings specials on Tuesdays next season you're a sucker wasting your time. Those were ad grabs and ratings grabs. Nothing more.

It really made no sense to jump TCU to #3, only to drop them out the following week.

I think what happened was the committee started anew and because of the argument with Baylor and TCU being co-champs, the committee felt they didn't want to deal with that headache so they put Ohio State in instead because there is no argument for them being the best in their conference.

I hate every team but Oregon. Also what two schools does the Big 12 add next year?

@kyletucker_CJ "It's about body of work, BUT DID YOU SEE OHIO STATE LAST NIGHT?!" Sigh. Multitasking mastery, talking out of both sides of one's mouth.

And those lower tier schools can get into the playoffs under this system, just schedule extremely strong out of conference and dominate your conference and you have a shot. The problem you get is in the scheduling of the extremely strong out of conference schedule. Boise State, for example, had a hell of a time trying to do just that, because most power conference teams don't want to risk losing that game. Yet 1 a year (if they can get that) is never enough in the mind of the public. Why would a team want to schedule a game like that when they know they could get by on conference record and name value? They can get by schedule mid-range power conference schools, who may be far worse than the school they're turning down, and getting credit for winning most of the games in their conference even if they only have a few good teams in it. These schools don't have total control over their own schedule. They can try, but they'll only get as far as the power conferences let them get. That's why they had to basically force a non-power conference slot into the BCS bowls.

Wonder how big the payoff was to get Ohio State into the top 4?
This is total and pure horseshit.

It really made no sense to jump TCU to #3, only to drop them out the following week. They had to create talking points and manufacture importance for this since the games aren't enough.

Did people really expect for TCU to get credit for beating Iowa State? Lol
I would switch Oregon and Alabama but besides that I'm good.

This is potentially a great day for Cincinnati and Memphis because the Big 12 is gonna be expanding real soon. Jeff Long all but admitted that having that 13th game was the difference.

@kyletucker_CJ Haha. Long said TCU, Baylor, OSU were "razor close." Earlier said Buckeyes were "in decisively."

How the f*** do you drop TCU three spots?! The Big 12. The conference didn't have the balls to make the decision on conference champs and just named co-champs and in the arguments TCU and Baylor cancelled each other out. Then when it was clear neither team was going in, the committee finally decided that Baylor wins the head to head matchup.
