Also I imagine anyone who said Geordie is sexy was just thinking about Cheryl Cole.

Hahahahaha I just let out the biggest giggle on the train. Thanks Haha, no problem. Believe me though, it's no laughing matter at the time! You have to be polite and at least converse for a little bit before making an excuse to leave! Oh I can imagine! Give some Scouse lasses a bottle of cherry Lambrini pre-night out and they are itching for a fight with anyone!

Would have definitely predicted those last two though not necessarily in that order. I would have predicted the Southern Irish accent as top too, women with that accent are just....the best.

For those precious darlings getting all het up about the Southern Irish accent being there it is as usual the Mirror being idiots. The YouGov survey was for accents in the British Isles, not just the UK so you can all stop being upset now.

Just going on accents in general:
I think the accent that really kills me is like, that really thick Midwestern accent.
Think Fargo, Bobby's mom from Bobby's World, or for some reason, Sarah Palin. I guess Alaskan accents are somewhat similar. A thick Boston accent also grates on me, though it has to be THICK.
Though being in Central New Jersey, I avoided the two stereotypical accents associated with New Jersey (which associate with New York in the north and Philly in the south). The only thing we really do is stretch some of our a's out, for words like half, drag, sand, etc. I also don't know if this is unique to my part of NJ, but we tend to disregard "n" sounds in the middle of words with t's. Like instead of saying "Trenton," we pronounce it "Tretton." Or the 42nd president would be said "Bill Clitton."
Though one of my friends from the Pine Barrens pronounces "creek" as "crick." I still don't get it.

Irish accent ahead of RP? Nope It's Southern Irish though, which is like, a light Irish lilt compared to the harder ones in the North. I think. I'm a bit shaky on Irish accents TBH. There isn't just one "Southern" (It's the Republic, you monarchist pigdogs!) Irish accent. In Dublin alone there is the painfully common Northside accent (The letter g does not exist at the end of a word, th becomes a hard t) and the "posher" Southside accent (like becomes loike and every second word in a sentence). And those accents are totally different to a Cork accent or a Kerry accent and so on. It's like saying there's one American accent.

Also I imagine anyone who said Geordie is sexy was just thinking about Cheryl Cole. Maybe they got confused and were saying that LeVar Burton was a sexy beast.
