I'm just surprised all of them aren't in negative numbers.

And I can guarantee that most of the people who said Brummie were probably thinking about a Black Country accent because anyone not from Birmingham thinks they are the same.

Oh and Southern Ireland = Republic of Ireland....which isn't in the UK, therefore the whole thing is nonsense.

Could you imagine how enraging it would be to try and follow a conversation between twelve different delegates of those people jibber jabbering over top of one another?

Who knew that the Brits found Sheamus's accent sexy? I must say, as a Yank I have no idea what half of those accents sound like. Can anyone provide examples?

Aww yeah, RP for the win. I remember my English teacher when I was doing an A-Level in language used to always use me as an example whenever people asked what received pronunciation is. I just think it's a good idea to always be well spoken personally, and I feel I've done quite well considering my proximity to Liverpool!

Surprised the Estuary accent didn't make it onto the list in either category.

Can anyone provide examples? Brummie: Scouse: (Language) See that's the thing though, I'm from Birmingham and no one pronounces 'you' as 'yow'. That's a Black Country thing. Which is what bothers me because I guarantee that is one people are thinking of when they say a Brummie accent.
