I'd be surprised if it was for every show, that body paint would end up pretty grotty looking by the end of a set of tapings.

One thing I particularly liked was that during the entrance, the announcers kept their mouths shut and didn't say a word
Had it been RAW, JBL and Cole would have babbled their way through it.

He looked like the by-product of a Jeff Hardy,Goldust and Boogeyman threesome. I loved it though and that music just makes the entrance.

It was a pretty neat entrance and Finns an amazing wrestler by far, but im not creaming my pants over it. Calling it better than Undertaker's is quite the stretch.

I think it was Corey Graves who sold it perfectly about every man having a dark pathway in his imagination that he turns down in times of need. It sets up an immediate trigger for Balors feuds in future.
He has his own Kishin Liger. It works.

According to Bryan Alvarez, people in WWE are saying that Bálor reminds them of Jeff Hardy, not just the face painting, but in the way he connects with the fans, and that could get him challenging Cena down the line as a top babyface.

I can't agree with that. Balor's awesome, but the guy who's going to become the top face and possibly pass Cena is Sami. Sami gets you emotionally involved in the match, to the point where the crowd was chanting "NO!" when Sami looked like he was going to hit Neville with the title, I was actually saying "Don't do it Sami."

I just don't see Balor as the next face of the company happening, they're not going to let anyone come close until Cena is physically unable to go in the ring anymore. Should be fun to watch them try and fail to undermine him or try to transfer his heat to Roman Reigns though, like we saw with Bryan and Sheamus.

Yeah, whilst I think Balor will be up there, Sami's the faciest face that ever did face. But he does so without just being generic, he still has a character, is a great wrestler and shows great emotion in the ring. I was the same in regards to him picking up the title, so invested and thinking "Come on dude, not like this."

If they play it right, Balor can basically be the new Orton, albeit far more talented. He'd be a face, but with a dark edge to him.

At the end of the day, Finn is going to be one of the standard bearers for WWE regardless of the face/heel alignment. He can do both and he can do both top notch. I won't be shocked at all if we see Balor headlining Wrestlemania 32 opposite Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt, or Reigns.
I don't think WWE quite knew what they had in Balor until they were able to see the complete package in NXT, and now that they've seen what Balor has to offer; they know they scored someone on the level of the guys they've been calling the future.

Balor was pretty undersized (lean). One of the reasons why New Japan gave him Big Luck Fale is that his Heavyweights would have an excuse for his loss.

The paint looked badass. It should always just be rolled out for PPVs though or maybe his RAW debut. If it was a regular thing it would lose its badassness. Noooo, not his RAW debut or even PPV debut. It needs to be a big moment or match. My dad is also a wrestling fan and pretty much only watches NXT as "it reminds him of the old World of Sport style" and he said "they did it right with Finn as he debuted as a normal guy and then this bursts on you after a vague warning, it made an impact". You come out on your RAW debut with that and then where do you go?

They just need to find that perfect medium of letting the people know that this is what Balor can transform into without bludgeoning everyone over the head with it.

I just watched it and... It was nothing special. Yeah his war paint is cool but I would hardly gush over his entrance he just moved weird that is it.

Finally saw r evolution. Been a busy december.
I was impressed and intrigued by the entrance and presentation. A bit weird and I didn't get it entirely but I know he has huge star written all over. I do wish he'd wear pants though. The tights and abs made him look like a Chippendale dancer dressed up for halloween. Hard to take the bad ass paint as threatening when his lower body is as under dressed as it is.
I can't wait to see him on main roster. Afraid his paint and over the top entrance overshadowed hideo. That is not productive in the long run.

I am a 31 year old man who knows on an intellectual level that wrestling is a very physical form of live theater and that Finn Balor is just playing a character and this war paint is just a way to add a little bit of flare to his performance.....That all said, it scares the shit out of me and I would not have to mess with anyone looking like that! In other words, it is awesome and is perfect for a pro wrestler.
Also, the teeth on the paint kind of reminded me of the cannibalistic black Isz from The Maxx.

I was impressed with how the Ascension sold that entrance. They had a "I don't want to get into the ring with this guy!" look on their faces. It was subtle, but effective.
