People trolling others, and for what reason? Because they can? Look at the people on IMDB and YouTube. I have seen when the popular opinion is negative and there are people out there have a positive opinion, and the people start to blast them for having a different opinion and call them idiots for that.
For example, some people liked "White House Down" and the popular opinion is mostly negative. I can say that I liked that movie, and what do people who liked it get? Nothing but insults to them on how they are stupid for liking it. Or the same with the "Robocop" remake. I didn't have a problem with the movie. I mostly gave it about 7/10, but people swore that I was a studio plant for praising it.

It's irritating shorthand, like cray-cray, which apparently is now just cray. Also, apparently, and this is the internet talking not me, it's Danish for shit, or whatever your favorite synonym for shit is. I'll regret asking, I'm sure, but what the hell is "cray-cray"? It's the current slang for crazy. I can't understand getting annoyed at that or bae though. Do I se them? no, but every generation makes it's own slang up, it's what kids do.

In Nando's the other day, someone had some sort of extending stick contraption so they could fit their whole family into a selfie. Why not just ask someone to take the photo for you? 1. They might steal it. 2. I'm glad they have that stick, that way they don't have to bother anyone else's day by asking them to take a picture.

I guess as an 18 year old I should speak out a bit... First of all most of us arent like that. Ya know, full of vanity, and being glued to a phone. As for the taking pictures of food trend, the only people ive EVER seen do that is older people. Like people my moms age. Ive literally never came across someone closer to my age do that. Whenever I go to movie theaters I see people still way into the movie. I feel like old people have to actually be in someone my ages shoes to actually know how we really are, rather take one glance and judgmentally take a bad first impression. Yup. I see 40+ year olds all the time glued to their phones. Just as bad as kids, if not worse. On Friday I say a 45ish year old woman run into the elevator door because she was looking at her phone. The tech addiction gripe should apply to most every generation under 50.

Also, it's not their fault. This happens every generation. When I was eighteen I signed up for the service and all of the guys say 27 and up(especially the over 30 crowd) to a man said my generation was worse than any in history. They listed the exact same complaints of self entitlement, spoiled by technology, lazy blah blah blah, that we do (me too) today. The truth is the only thing different from generation to generation is the specific grievances. IE: Bae, Cray Cray, social media, too much reality TV etc. we are no different than the 60's kids were to the greatest generation that preceded them. The older will always decry the yunger and always will forget how annoying we we to our elders. Very much this. For instance, back in high school, a couple days out of the week, my buddy and I used to call each other up to plan "crazy" synchronized outfits to wear next day at school. Usually something dumb like pajama pants, skirts over our jeans, or "all gothed out". Fast forward a decade, she and I were at the mall foodcourt, when a group of teens dressed in goth clothes and furry tails show up and start acting, well, like teens. My buddy leans in and askes "honestly, did WE ever look that stupid when we were that age?" Yes. Yes, we did.

The idea that people are idiots just because they like a Michael Bay film, or anything that's critically panned. As well as elitist jerks/pretentious morons who think society is turning into Idiocracy because of such.
In fact, since I think it counts as a trend considering how much of a cult audience it has; I HATE Idiocracy. God Bless America is far better than that gross-out sludge.

Over-reliance on social media. I've honest to goodness had people get mad at me because I didn't know why they were upset despite it only being posted on social media. "Maybe if you checked your facebook once in a while you'd know". Are you kidding me? Call my house for god's sake.

Photos of people sticking out their tongues and curling them cheek-ward while bugging their eyes out.
My fellow millennials tend to be most guilty of this, and it drives me crazy. It's one thing if you're a toddler and won't sit still to take a simple, dignified picture, but to be an educated twentysomething and be scrunching your face taking a selfie at Machu Picchu or the Eiffel Tower...our ancestors would surely weep.

People who make a big deal over other people's opinions popularity on pop culture and then immediately put on Rose tinted glasses with "Remember in the _________'s" what was popular back then and how it was better then what we have now and proof things were way better back then.
I know it happens every generation to a degree but with all these social networking sites and high speed internet it happens more then ever with kids being born in the late 90's calling themselves 90's kids and how awesome the 90's were despite being 2-5 years old!

The attitudes of people who believe that pirating DVDs,etc from the PirateBay is a viable alternative to you know, actually purchasing the physical copy. Entitlement in general. Just because you want something, does not mean you have a right to it or deserve it. Then getting mad when people steal their photos off tumblr.
