Anyone ever actually had these things? Ever since seeing them listed as the worst food item in the country a few years back I've been meaning to try them out of a deranged curiosity.

We used to order it when I was a kid. It was just fries with cheese and bacon, it's a good combination no matter who does it, but it's really not anythin special.

I almost ordered them yesterday, but I can't justify ~$14 for fries.

I'm not an uber huge junk food eater, but when you see something ranked as so bad it sounds like you could keel over from one order of it, your curiosity can't help but be peeked.

I ride or die for these fries. They're outstanding. People who hate on them are 100% certified jive turkeys.
I ride for most things Outback though.

Considering I'm a decade long Outback employee...I salute you sir. The thing that sucks is the portions on the Aussie Cheese Fries have gotten smaller due to that list. One day soon all chains will be forced to have the calories next to the item and if they were left as is...oh boy. Now...back to eating my Alice Springs Quesadilla.

Because I live in Korean and foreign food tends in a semi-fancy restaurant tends to be randomly expensive. The ribs were about 34 dollars. It's been a while since I've bought ribs at a restaurant, but I think that's kind of high too. Still...for the French fries...it's not like potatoes, bacon, and cheese are exotic goods.

The last time I had them, and I do mean last time EVER, I got sick as a dog that night. The next morning what came out of me I can only describe as a mixture of battery acid, Lava rocks and pure god damn evil shooting from a potato gun. Yeah, never again. But they were great when I was eating them.

First of all, props to you and your Outback. Second, in NYC for a decade now, calories are required next to every food item for sale by law.Hasn't really deterred much. Finally, the big portions of the Cheese Fries are what made the shared experience of them such a wonderful communal food. You can't have them at a table and have a person not at least try one. That mutual sharing is the type of thng that makes eating out with friends so great. I wish that element was pushed.

I refuse to eat there due to the lack of Kangaroo on the menu. We need a Kangaroo throwing a boomerang while playing a didgeridoo while watching a Yahoo Serious festival. Just saying we need that.

I live right near an Outback, but have never went (too expensive). I might have to try it now though.

I refuse to eat there due to the lack of Kangaroo on the menu. I've eaten a Kangaroo Burger on multiple occasions (obviously not from Outback) and it is always the most delicious burger I have ever eaten. Get kangaroo on all menus!

I refuse to eat there due to the lack of Kangaroo on the menu. Tough luck. Outback is the poseur of the theme restaurant. They may have an Aussie theme, but the menu focuses more on Creole seasonings and American themes with stock boomerangs and photos of Ayer's Rock. Not nowhere near as bad as South of the Border in South Carolina, but it is there. So, kangaroo steaks and emu burgers aren't gonna happen.

Outback is ok but I don't think it's that good value for money. The steaks are decent but IMO you can get just as good a steak in somewhere like TGIs for $5 less. The bread is awesome though.
