I'm guessing it's probably a weird British thing, there's lots of those.

I think Canada does it too, or at least I remember Bret Hart playing the Genie a few years ago.
Which is where we got the pic of Bret lying down in silky trousers.

If we do, it would be local. Not a widespread thing for sure.

Beyond infrequent specific city events here and there, anything like Pantomime in the US died along with vaudeville, to the point where the term pantomime in the States almost always refers to mime acting.

I may sound dumb saying this, but what is this pantomime you speak of? Can't say I have ever heard of it.
I thought pantomime was what a mime did.

It appears to be a play, basically..given what Wikipedia said as I scrolled through at lightning pace, it's a form of entertainment that fell out of favour in America in the 30's. Let someone who knows better answer for you, but that's what I'm getting out of the 10 seconds I spent reading.

We have a lot of Christmas pageants and sometimes Passion plays around this time of year, less so since schools have been less apt to host them, but plenty of churches still do it. Plus even some secular schools still Christmas Carol, since it's less direct I guess and more literary merit.
Crackers are something that isn't widespread, but some people get them.

I'd have thought crackers were awesome as a kid, and even know, I like incredibly cheap little plastic toys and such, so I'd probably still be down for them.

We still do them every year, it's fun, because we do them every year. The stupid paper crown, the cheesy joke, the dumb toy...tradition, I guess. It sucks, but it's not Christmas dinner without them.

Let someone who knows better answer for you, but that's what I'm getting out of the 10 seconds I spent reading. It's a specific kind, it's 99% of the time an old fable/fairy story, Aladdin, Snow White, the kind of stories Disney uses. There's a ton of audience interaction, asking the many hyper 7 year olds in the audience to keep a look out for another character who will sneak/hide behind them, or the bad guys arguing with the audience about what they've done when they get caught. It's incredibly camp, and where a lot of minor soap opera actors/kids tv presenters/reality show contestants earn a bit of extra cash for christmas.
