Still not happy that the Moody Blues weren't even nominated. Same with Iron Maiden.

Am I the only human being on Earth that thinks Lou Reed was good, not great? The Velvet Underground was great. Lou by himself ranged from good to god-awful.

Teenage fanbase? How many teens listen to NIN? Seems most of the NIN fans are at least mid 20s or older. If they were appeasing the teenage fanbase a group like One Direction or whatever would go in. I still see a lot of people I would place between 14 and 17 who are adamant NIN fans. Perhaps it's just the area I live in, but most people in their 20's I know stopped calling themselves NIN fans after they reached adulthood.

While I'm aware that there are still tons of earlier bands way overdue to being inducted it's pretty cool that we're slowly getting to the point where those that made the '90s so amazing are getting eligible to being inducted in the HOF, however prestigous that still is. Björk, Beck or Radiohead are possibilities in the next few years.

Yeah, there are other acts that are still long overdue for an induction, but Green Day's definitely one of them as well. Not sure how Green Day can be long overdue seeing as this is the first year they were eligible for induction.

I see the media outlets and Beatles fans are confused thinking Ringo is getting "In" the Hall of Fame
I think he should go in, but like George, he won't get his due until after he passes sadly

Originally known as the Sidemen award, The Award For Musical Excellence is a subcategory, like Performer and Early Influences. His name appears on the inductees list. rockhall.com/inductees/ringo-starr/

He has been eligible for years, but never nominated to my knowledge. I think there's a difference between him "getting in" and Green Day

I like Joan, but i dont see why she's considered so important in the history of rock. Now if we were talking about The Runaways, then yes, but Joan's solo work? Her two biggest hits were covers.

I know the HOF is rife with bullshit and all, but an induction for Green Day their first time out seems a bit much, especially when there are other bands that are long, long overdue.
The Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble are pleasant surprises though. Same with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

Green Day going in before Pixies voids the entire Hall of Fame for me
Just my opinion.

I feel that just because a band or artist came before another artist doesn't always make them better or more deserving.

Deep Purple, not even nominated this year = NO BUYS Yep. I'm not much of a Deep Purple fan, I prefer Blackmore's later stuff with Rainbow...but Deep Purple should have been in long long ago.
