Why doesn't WWE just release her? They clearly see something in her, and even if they didn't, if they cut her now it'd be an excellent way to leave themselves open to a massive lawsuit due to the timing. And WWE couldn't really argue against it too well given they've at least three times in the past fired a husband and wife on the same day as each other. A lawsuit on what grounds? I could see it being a PR disaster since Punk didn't sign a non disparagement clause, but I don't see where a lawsuit would come into play.

Because going from heavily pushing her for a long while and featuring her prominently to up and dropping her for no apparent reason just a few weeks after her husband completely laid into them would reek of being out of retaliation for him speaking out which is pretty damn illegal.

Is it illegal? They can drop her for no reason because they don't need a reason, that's at-will employment for you. "Creative has nothing for you".

There are still protocols in place for that kind of thing. They could cut her for that normally, but given the timing and her position it'd be so fishy they could easily legally challenge it.

What are these protocols? This isn't race or gender we're talking about. "People married to someone who publicly crapped on us" aren't a protected class.

AJ was down as "injured" in the leaked Raw Scripts when she took time off in the Spring.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
...It's never good to hear that someone is hurt. Hope she makes a full recovery.
...Yeah, bet ya'll weren't expecting that. I'm not a total Grinch when it comes to AJ.
