Only if you can find it for under $30. And only then just barely.
If you're still happy with 2K14, I'd just stick with that and use Community Creations to update your roster.

Maybe if you haven't played a WWE game since 12, it might be worth your time.
If you've bought any since, you can just stick to that. It's the same thing as 14, which was the same as 13, which was the same as 12.

I'm convinced that either the developers are dumb as f*** and they suck, or they're screwing up the games on purpose.

If it's anything like it's 360 brother, it's fun enough but has no soul.
I requested it for Christmas only to find out they stripped it of the career mode I wanted it for after it had already been purchased for me.
It feels like a step back from '14 which was a hollow experience in and of itself.
2K stinks. Their increasingly hacky sports games deserve no buys.

Are you kidding me? If you got a PS3, like I do, 2K14 should be your limit. From what I've seen, 2K15 is a uncoordinated mes, which considering this is Yuke's final WWE game, makes me wonder if they did this on purpose.

When IGN says your wrestling game sucks, it must really suck because they tend to be pretty generous to the WWE games.

stopped getting them after they changed the controls from analogue to the sticks, and the fact that more processing power, therefore MORE time between moves, and seeing videos of them glitching in the worst ways says i ain't gonna get another one ever again

From what I've heard, the PS3/360 version is all Yuke's due to the appearance, while PS4/Xbox One features 2K's mocap technology and mechanisms, while using the Yuke's foundation as a base. That is why they are so different. It's also why all of the new features were next-gen only.

I skipped out on it for the first time this year may get it later in the year. I feel better off just using the way more CAW spots and updating the roster that way. You can still go online with it so I can DL whoever I want and find a good one.

No. Not at all.
I played the NXT mode and the career mode. After that, I never picked it back up. Unless they change it up, I highly doubt I buy next year's game.

I've heard so much crap about 2K15 I decided not to pick it up. Especially since it sounds like not much has changed since 2K14.

Buy a saints row game instead.
If you haven't got it get the third one. It has more wrestling related fun than I've had from any WWE game since like 2002.

Get a wii u and Pikmin 3 instead Get Smash Brothers because every character in that game is about workrate. Also considering the amount of unlockables you'll be playing for much longer.

Has there been anything to suggest that they actually tried having the same game on both generations or is it really just a blatant "Buy PS4/Xbox One for this game!" excuse?

When hyping the game, only two (Superstar Showcase & Universe Mode) were presented as new features without the "next-gen only" addendum. Like I said; stick with 2K14, because the roster is deeper and there are still quality CAWs. I'm still impressed how far down in quality you can go from one year to the next, and 2K14 was called a "placeholder title" by GameInformer.
