John Morrison made Cena look like Ricky Steamboat.
Between screwing his friend out of a title shot and then acting somehow confused when R-Truth turned heel on him and constantly antagonizing Sheamus when he wasn't even feuding with him due to Sheamus dealing with Santino, he just looked like the biggest douche. Didn't help that he wanted to get under Drew's skin and accidentally cut himself with a sword while trying to be funny in a highlander getup.

I kinda like Axel now, but man, it took YEARS for me to not be filled with disdain for him due to this and his terrible haircut. Looks better nowadays, probably since someone clued him in that his wet look made his hair look thinner than cellophane. |

I was there live for a worse Morrison promo though. It was during the Sheamus feud where he blathered on about Sheamus being silly in the king gear, that he needed one of those "half man/half goat things" from Narnia, etc. Morrison was a really exciting wrestler at his best but he was seriously one of the worst promos in the history of the business. It's rare that a guy can be so bad on the mic that it actively detracts from his heat.

I don't know, I get why Truth was mad but he 1) Agreed to the match, he could have just as easily said no to John but didn't. 2) Went a little over board on the beating afterward.

I liked him but John Morrison ranks very high on my list of Worst Talkers Ever. I actually found some of his mic work painfully bad. Like, Chris Benoit bad

He rarely had a decent face promo (or even to got the chance to do one), but he was awesome as a heel with the Palace of Wisdom stuff. I wish they'd kept that part of his gimmick instead of turning him into The Parkour Guy with flashy clothes. |
