I enjoyed the New York shows.
So, just for that, I can't give it an F. Business-wise...total F but I'm gonna rate the on-screen product and go with a...
D. (gave WWE a D+...not the best year mainstream-wise in wrestling IMO)

TNA should get into the vacuum business because they really sucked this year.

F. I really don't see how it can be anything but. They drove damn near every talented person out of the company with cost cutting measure (some what understandable mind ya) but replaced them with Bram and a lot crap. Lashley was a great champ but how many actually saw him or gave him a chance? Shit MVP was supposed to be the one getting the title but injured himself on an indie show with weeks to go to the PPV in his hometown and TNA never bothered to tell people until the actual show. That is just shitty business. Later in the year they had to change days for Impact so if by some chance they survived the year Smackdown didn't finish the job and still lost 400k people that haven't returned and won't. Spike lets them go and they limp along not bothering to tell people if they'd have job in the New Year before finally settling on a deal with a channel that 99% of Americans have never heard of and 50% don't get for far less money. The big reason they took it, other than you know, staying alive, they get 2 more shows which means they are doing more work for far less money. They are having to let their current talent out of their deal and re-sign them to cheaper ones that allow for indie bookings but still signed Kurt Angle despite being a walking pile of dime store super glue and garbage ties. They induct Team 3D to their joke of a Hall of Fame only for Bubba to not be under contract forcing them to pay nicely for him not only him but his girlfriend to go to Japan where Team 3D made a play on the show to get into NJPW before Bubba and Velvet left the company. Finally, their last six weeks of tapings spoiled their major PPV featured an insane amount of title changes and were so badly attended you could hear the peanut guys if the echo wasn't too bad.

D+ EC3, Spud, Roode, Bad Influence (the very short time they were there), and Lashley's reign were all highlights. Without them I would have given it an F. Samuel Shaw would have been listed as a highlight (for his character work), but they screwed the pooch when they put him in a feud with Anderson. I could have easily posted this word for word and it'd be nearly my exact opinion. I'm not as high on Samuel Shaw as you are though. Except for when he was killing people with shoes. ECIII, Spud, Bobby Roode, Bad Influence, and Bobby Lashley were absolutely highlights. Especially Lashley - I hated the idea of him coming back to TNA and then his run one was one of the best of any wrestler in any company in recent years. But the rest of 2014? Kinda shit. They lost their spot on Spike. Way too much Kurt Angle. Dixie going through a table was one of the worst storyline/payoffs that TNA has done, which is saying a lot. The Knockouts division was mostly terrible.

F. Literally the worst year I've ever watched a promotion have.
This is the first time I've watched a company die, though. I abandoned WCW because I wanted to watch Raw and VIDEO TAPES AIN'T FREE!

There were some good spots, but due to the fact that Spike TV dropped them, they aren't even on in Canada anymore, their supposed biggest show of the year was a house show in Japan, going on the road was catastrophic, it has to be an F. They almost went out of business this year.
TNA hit rock bottom this year. The only way they could go lower is if they go out of business. So they can only go up, hopefully.

D, and I'm being generous. If there'd been an option for Incomplete I would've gone with that, because I stopped watching Impact from mid-May to about mid-June and the beginning of October 'til the last two best-ofs.
Of course, that doesn't speak well for TNA either...

Who voted A+ and why?
I'm not bashing, I'm legitimately curious.

Who voted A+ and why? I'm not bashing, I'm legitimately curious. Maybe they see TNA as an elaborate deconstruction of a wrestling company. If that is what TNA really is then yeah, this year was genius.
