D+
EC3, Spud, Roode, Bad Influence (the very short time they were there), and Lashley's reign were all highlights.
Without them I would have given it an F. Samuel Shaw would have been listed as a highlight (for his character work), but they screwed the pooch when they put him in a feud with Anderson.

F.
I left an Impact taping because I just couldn't sit through anymore. I never leave any shows early.

D-
The first half of the year was seriously some of the worst TV I've seen from any wrestling promotion ever. The second half, for the most part, was alright. Better than Raw at times but that's saying less than nothing.

F-
Bad decisions and more bad decision have finally led to TNA's down fall.
Loosing spike is the end. TNA is dead, plain and simple. We are just waiting to see how much more time and money the Carters are going to waste, until they finally pull the plug.
No one who was involved with TNA should ever be allowed near pro wrestling again!

The on screen product was just fine. EY had a better version of Bryan's reign. Lashley's reign was great. Rooo was great. The tag team action ramped up at the end of the year, and Impact was generally rock solid during that time. Gail still did a good job guiding the women's division.
I think people are being waaaaay too harsh here. The off screen issues were awful, but that's not really what should be graded necessarily.

I think people are being waaaaay too harsh here. The off screen issues were awful, but that's not really what should be graded necessarily. My thing is, when Impact was bad (which I felt it was for most of the first half of the year), it was REALLY bad. I remember that one episode that ended with an 8-man first blood match for literally no reason other than "why not?" I thought was seriously one of the worst wrestling shows I've ever seen. There have been a couple of Impacts where I felt that way. The off-screen stuff should be factored into because it showed on TV. So many times, I felt like I was watching a dying promotion. Even stuff that wasn't really bad had an air of sadness about it because everything in the company felt so pointless and didn't result in any advancement whatsoever. A lot of the problems I had with Impact this year are the same problems that I have with Impact every year. Too much shit going on to the point where it's impossible to digest most of the show, too many things that just don't make sense when you stop and think about it, not enough attention to detail and all the little things. On top of that, I didn't even think the match quality was all that good this year. Honest to god, I can count on one hand the amount of matches in TNA this year that I would call truly great. The TLC matches were fun in a train-wreck sort of way but I couldn't help but think, "this is the poor man's version of the TLC matches from the early 00's in WWE. ...Why don't I just watch that on the Network instead of the watered down version?" EY's reign was well booked but it was impossible to take seriously because it was Eric freakin' Young. Super Eric. Don't Fire Me, Eric. Joesph Parks' goofball friend. The guy who's entire gimmick was that he was borderline retarded for like two or three years. That's the guy who I'm suddenly supposed to buy as this world class competitor that's a credible world champion. It didn't click for me. They spent no time building Eric up and just threw the title on him out of nowhere in the most blatant WWE rip-off imaginable.

F. They had a 300 lb man who was supposed to be the babyface put a 50 year old woman who is the evil authority figure through a table, and for what? She got legit injured.

I can't see how it can be anything other than F. They lost their channel and had to take a deal on a channel in much fewer homes that a lot of people had never heard of before. That's not even mentioning the sheer absurdity of the product at times, the amount of rumors regarding their demise, etc.
They're lucky to still even be in business and on TV in any respect in 2015. 2014 was nothing short of disastrous for this company. A huge step back when at this point in their history and the pedigree of some of their roster they should be a step ahead of the curve. TNA has no identity at the moment. Terrible management. Terrible booking. FLAT F.

I think people are being waaaaay too harsh here. The off screen issues were awful, but that's not really what should be graded necessarily. Here is the thing, when your offscreen cluster f*** is as bad as TNA's is, there is not a show on the planet that would look good with that. The offscreen stuff (f***ing up everything ever always) is exactly what should be graded. It is a company circling the drain, propped up by Dixie Carter's whims and a dead-end TV station, this is not a passing grade, nor is this close to acceptable.

You can even say TNA's no longer a major promotion anymore. They haven't been for years. Just a glorified indy

Gonna give it an E. Would have been an F if not for Lashley actually being booked competently & ECIII & Spud.

Objectively it has to be an F, just for how spectacularly they've screwed up on most every front and killed pretty much everything they had going for them as a business.

F.
The show improved tenfold about halfway though the year but the uncertainty of their future and the absolute disaster that was going behind the scenes made the shows, while entertaining in their own right, completely meaningless. It's stunning that they managed to survive.
