No Fleischer/Famous studios Superman? It'd probably come up a few votes down the line- the rule of it says that the cartoon character had to be in existence for 15 years before making the ballot (so at where the ballot is now, 1951, the latest a cartoon had to be from to make it is 1936- and Superman's a few years away from just the comics.)

This is really going to get complicated when we get to the era of tv cartoons, many of which had huge casts. The Flintstones, for example, will everyone from Fred and Barney to the Gruesomes and Gazoo be included?

Fred Flintstone can't get in the Hall because of his well known gambling addiction where he'd throw episodes for a quick buck.

The Flintstones, for example, will everyone from Fred and Barney to the Gruesomes and Gazoo be included? Probably will focus just on the main characters. Side characters will be considered but not everyone is going to be put on the regular ballot. Still waiting on two voters.

How long is a good time to say that the voters abstained from it, and should they be seen as "they didn't put in a ballot, so it's like they didn't vote" or count as "they sent a blank ballot"?

With 90 minutes to spare, I have all the votes. There is only one inducted in the 1951 class after the first big one:
-Minnie Mouse: Partner of Mickey Mouse. Arguably the first mass marketed female character in animation. Over the years has slowly gained a personality separate from Mickey.
The vote count went like this (Bold means inducted): Minnie Mouse: 77.2% Bluto: 68.1% Pluto: 68.1% Oswald the Lucky Rabbit: 59% Olive Oyl: 45.4% Bosko: 40.9% Krazy Kat: 36.3% Koko the Clown: 31.8% The Big Bad Wolf: 31.8% Little Nemo: 22.7% Norakuto-Kun: 22.7% Gertie the Dinosaur: 18.1% Ignatz Mouse: 9% Salty the Seal: 9% Buddy: 9% Grampy: 9% Horace Horsecollar: 9% Practical Pig:4.5% Fiddler Pig: 4.5% Fifer Pig: 4.5% Clarabelle Cow: 4.5% Clara Cluck: 4.5% The Pincushion Man: 0% Prince Achmed: 0% Beans the Cat: 0%
With the exception of Pincushion Man (who is a first timer) the others 4.5% and below will be eliminated if they fail to get above 5% on their third straight ballot.

The 1952 class is ready to be revealed. 21 voted with one ballot not returned and considered blank. Again, we have one inductee:
-Daffy Duck: One of the most popular characters in Warner Brothers history. Started as kook character before evolving into the narcissistic toon he is to this day.
Results: Daffy Duck: 86.3% Snow White: 72.7% Pluto: 63.6% Bluto: 59% Evil Queen: 54.5% Oswald the Lucky Rabbit: 54.5% Dopey: 40.9% Olive Oyl: 36.3% Bosko: 31.8% Little Nemo: 22.7% Grumpy: 22.7% Gertie the Dinosaur: 18.1% Ko-Ko the Clown: 18.1% The Big Bad Wolf: 18.1% Norakuto-Kun: 18.1% Buddy: 13.6% Magic Mirror: 13.6% Doc: 13.6% Krazy Kat: 9% Salty the Seal: 9% Bashfull: 9% Ignatz Mouse: 4.5% Beans the Cat: 4.5% (Off the ballot) Happy: 4.5% Sneazy: 4.5% Sleepy: 4.5% Prince Achmed: 0% (Off the ballot) Practical Pig: 0% (Off the ballot) Fiddler Pig: 0% (Off the ballot) Fifer Pig: 0% (Off the ballot) Grampy: 0% Horace Horsecollar: 0% Clarabelle Cow: 0% (Off the ballot) Clara Cluck: 0% (Off the ballot) The Pincushion Man: 0%
1953 class TBA as I am having major Internet issues right now.

1953 Ballot is tallied. We have one inductee again:
Elmer Fudd: Originally started as Egghead. Became one of the most popular hapless villains as he chased characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to no avail. Laugh still imitated to this day.

Snow White went from the verge of being in to slipping down the list. Interesting stuff. I like looking at the percentages lol
