He did have striking defence, it just fell apart when Overeem booted him where his colon used to be. Up until that point, he'd managed to land a few decent shots, but you can pretty much pinpoint the kick to the body as where he starts to shut down. His striking defence was never THAT good throughout his MMA career(especially against someone with the pedigree of Overeem) But that kick was about as pinpoint as you can get, regardless of opponent. Obviously, that was all compounded by his health issues. But that's probably enough of an MMA derail on my part in a Jerry Lawler thread. Well, if I'm honest, his striking defence was hitting the other dude until they can't hit him back. Which is a decent defense! And it was a monstrous kick, but I feel Lesnar-pre diverticulitis would've been able to come back from it and keep it up. He probably would've been a bit more brave at the start of the fight, I feel he wasn't as confident as he could've been if he wasn't missing a foot of his guts.

Also wasn't Overeem found to be using ped's afterward? Back to Lawler... I hope he has a full recovery.

Oh yeah, Overeem had 14-1 on the testosterone screening, when the allowed amount is something like 6-1. So dude was over double the maximum amount. Surprised he wasn't sprouting hair all over his body as he competed in the fight!

Next time Lesnar comes out, he hugs King and goes "I understand", then climbs into the ring with tears in his eyes. Nah, Brock's a heel. I want him to walk over and punch Jerry square in the gut, immediately.

I've had this. Ended up with the same surgery as Brock, too. It's no picnic. At the VERY worst, he'll end up with a colostomy bag aka poop sack. (I didn't, before anyone asks).
