The weird thing that led me to ask this question is that I was on Amazon looking up TNA DVDs for old PPVs from 2004 and 2005. I noticed that Monty Brown was on the cover for Turning Point 2004 and I kept on thinking he was Bobby Lashley, but then I remembered that it was Monty Brown.
Brown was a star in TNA and was well over with fans, both as a face and as a heel. He had a nice in-ring presence about him and had charisma. However, I remember reading rumors back in the day about how he signed with WWE. I know that he was mostly on ECW, and I didn't really watch ECW that much. I know that he took an absence because of some family issues. He was then released from his contract sometime after.
I sometimes wonder if there was ever a plan for him to do a program with Lashley at the time. He could have made the jump to Raw or Smackdown at some point, but I don't know. What do you think?

Yep. All the tools, IF they would've gotten behind him.
A shame we never got to see it.

Dude was perfect for the WWE. Could of been a big star. Sad his career had to end the way it happened but dude made the right best choice and will always have respect from everyone including Vince McMahon. One of the biggest what ifs ever

Had the family issues not come up he would have easily made it to the midcard on the main shows... and even farther if the WWE gave him a sustained push.

The only thing against him was his age but I don't think that would have even stopped him from becoming WWE Champion. He could do it all. Kinda weird to me that barring something unforeseen, his last wrestling appearance happened in Lance Hoyt's deal here in Dallas.

It would have been over if he had a dirt bike gimmick and became Motocross Cor Von.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijSbGVNVZ-k just gonna post this one of the most wtf themes when i first heard it but damn if isn't catchy. The pounce was one the best spears (or spear like moves) i saw in years at that point (there was a void in wwe after Rhyno and Goldberg left). If they can reuse Earnest the Cat Miller's theme they should reuse this somehow...maybe for Uhaa

If he went to OVW instead of TNA he would be in that Cena, Orton, Batista level.

No way, he was far too Swiss to reach for the Brass Ring.
