Yep, us UK fans have been screwed over yet again. Sky has raised the price of PPVs to £19.95 as of well, now. A 25% rise in the cost. I think I heard we'll not be getting four or so PPVs for "free" on Sky Sports either. Sorry if there's already a thread about this but I couldn't find one.

It is being discussed in the UK thread on the Network sub-forum but it does no harm being clear on here for me. Unless we get the Network before the Rumble, we are being extorted. I am not paying for the Rumble outside a UK Network.

HEY, HOW STUPID ARE YOU GUYS WHO ACTUALLY PAYED FOR THIS SHOW ON PPV!? Seriously, though, I feel bad for you guys. They really f***ed you over with the Network stuff, and this is just salt on the wound

Raising PPV prices AND getting rid of the "free" PPVs AND not airing NXT anymore is just adding insult to the injury of still not having the Network.
Feel bad for those who don't have it.

It's not like there is a legal alternative to watch it. It seems to be either pay the £20 or miss out.

I know I'm planning on attending a show in Glasgow then heading to a bar to watch the Rumble. I know there is a similar type deal happening in London as well.

• Get rid of "free" PPV's which, as we all know, are far from free • Raise prices of all PPV's just before Royal Rumble (one of only two I always buy) • Remove NXT from the schedule
Does the universe really want to give me that last kick towards not watching at all?

I think for cardio I'll just try the old 20 Minute Workout videos from the 80s.

Did a British man eat Linda a few months ago or something? Is that it?

I do think this means that the Network is finally coming to the UK. NXT being taken off Sky and possibly going to the Network exclusively is something WWE/Triple H seems to like, they did it with Canada. The PPVs being raised in price is perhaps Sky's way of getting more of a return from people who do not want to subscribe to the Network, yet might still order a PPV every now and then. Whether anything happens before the Rumble though, who knows?? They would be mad if they had a Network subscription, then a further charge to buy the PPV. Though, this is WWE, who cancelled the UK launch 20 minutes before it was scheduled to launch, so this is the likely scenario

Though, this is WWE so this is probably the scenario More likely scenario is the Sky WWE channel talks have fallen through and so Sky have upped the prices to extract more money from fans and the Network is going to launch with NXT and PPVs on a 2 week delay. Sky love exclusivity and with a niche product like the WWE, they're not going to pay them more for less product and profit, it's just not what Sky do.

But good luck to Sky/WWE in trying to get £25ish (PPV and estimated 9.99 conversion rate subscription) a month from its customers after originally saying it will cost $9.99 in GBP conversion in November! I do think, and it was mentioned in the UK thread, that the longer it takes for the UK to get the Network, the more we actually realise we can live without it lol.

Did a British man eat Linda a few months ago or something? Is that it? I don't think Vince has ever forgiven the UK for daring to be subject to a Terrorist attack on the same day he was to air that Undertaker/Hassan/masked men angle and having no choice but to scrap the Hassan character.
