Im thinking about visiting Florida for a vacation this summer (yes, i think that far ahead). I've already been to Disneyworld so i dont want to go there again (fun as it is), but i am considering visiting other attractions, in paticular Universal Studios theme park, Seaworld, and Gatorland. For anyone who's been to those places, are they worth visiting?

I freaking loved Gatorland as a kid. Mainly because it freaked me mum out to see it.

We used to go down there often, as that's where the Tae Kwon Do nationals were almost always held in Orlando.
Loved Universal even more than Disney. Seaworld and Discovery Cove are good for a day. Busch Gardens in Tampa is also good.

Busch Gardens in Tampa is also good. Bush Gardens is awesome! You can check out the Fort Myers/Sanibel Island area on the Gulf coast for some decent beaches. Sanibel is expensive to stay on, hence the Ft Myers suggestion. There is an abundance of retirees though. Vero Beach on the Atlantic coast has nice beaches too, the waters just usually a bit colder than the gulf coast though. Take a day trip down to the Everglades. Fan boats are a blast! Been to all these places on vacation, so I figured I'd share.

Gatorland is pretty boring even after their massive expansion. I would suggest taking a day just to explore. International Drive has a ton of shops and attractions that are often overlooked because people just go to the big theme parks. www.internationaldriveorlando.com/

Simple solution for visiting Florida: Don't go. Unless you want to have your face bitten off by a methhead.

Universal Studios is great if you're a fan of the themes of their attractions. Look up what they have and if it even slightly peaks your interest, go.
ONE IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE FOR FLORIDA VACATIONS: Bring your own sunglasses. You do NOT want to buy them in Florida. Pink Eye spreads like wildfire among all the children and tourists with children who try on sunglasses. Just bring your own and you'll be set.
