I know the subject has been debated a lot lately in light of him losing his second straight feud, but with Ambrose still fairly over despite the lack of positive results, it got me thinking... does he not just give a damn about said results? I mean, it's hard enough to get these guys being focused on wins and losses at the best of times, but with Ambrose it's even more noticeable in light of his current character. He seems more pre-occupied with beating the stuffing out of Rollins and Wyatt, and not necessarily pinning them for a 3 count and besting them in a bout of wrestling skills, you know?
Even going back to his run in The Shield, he was like this in a way. He held very little regard for the United States Championship (most of us don't anyway, but that's another issue), to the point where he was just casually tossing it aside, not defending it on TV for weeks, even months at a time or sometimes not even bringing it to the ring with him. And he didn't seem all that upset about losing it, either... He was just more interested in the fight.
Is there something to this? Or am I just trying too hard to find a silver lining in the clouds? Whatever the answer, the amount he cares about winning wrestling matches seems to be exactly inversely proportionate to the amount most of us care about him winning wrestling matches.

I think that's supposed to be the idea, and that's fine at times like Survivor Series. But for the most part, even when he's losing matches he's not getting any actual revenge afterward.

I think there's a bit of a short attention span thing here as well. He left Rollins alone because Wyatt screwed him over... (SD spoiler following) {Spoiler}And now after being beaten by Wyatt he's now helping out Reigns against Rollins and Big Show.

They did play out this idea of him having tunnel vision so to speak when he blew out the TV monitor at TLCS I believe, but it would be nice to see him develop into making smarter decisions rather than just turning him into a caricature.

As long as he gets to get his ultimate revenge against Rollins at WM, I suppose the recent losses are fine. I kind of wish Wyatt and Ambrose traded wins, but whatever.

He's sorta getting Mankind's gimmick of never being on the Undertaker's level but always being close to beating him in the main events, which somehow pushes both Taker and Mankind at the same time.
I don't know how successful he's at with the gimmick, but the wins by Wyatt seem to matter and Bray seems better off with the 'duke' and the feud in his rear view after he picked the fight against Ambrose in the first place to halt the Ambrose/Rollins rivalry. Dean himself might be able to lose like Mankind or Jericho and still be cheered just as loudly the next night before losing again, certainly the feuds he's placed in you get the sense that he's mostly in them to see the individual hurt or revenged upon for screwing Dean over, and in those respects the fact that Wyatt and Rollins both will never eeeeeeeever try to mess around with the 'whack-job' Ambrose again is a victory for him.
Kinda like how after Taker threw Mankind off the HiaC and Foley CONTINUED THE MATCH despite the bump even Taker had to give him respect, despite Mankind ultimately losing the feud.

Ambrose beat Wyatt at the Troops thing and crushed him at Survivor Series. This was not a one way feud.

Why should he be? Wins rarely ever mean anything in the WWE.

If I was Dean, my only focus in life would be collecting my cheque and sexing up Renee Young.
I wouldn't give a shit who I was pretending to beat on a badly written wrestling show.
Money and Renee
I'd be happy with that.
