I've been seeing ads for this Michael Bay movie on YouTube for a bit now, and to me, it just looks like it's trying to be a serious Back to the Future, which to me, is kind of dumb. Also, it's Michael Bay, so that's another bad sign. Watch the trailer if you'd like, and post your thoughts below:

It's no Project: ALF that's for sure

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really want to watch a movie highlighting the problems with time travel.
Plus, if it does have Michael Bay's name anywhere near it, you just know the time travel "rules" aren't gonna make a lick of sense and be completely inconsistent, because who cares about that LOOK AT THE PLANES EXPLODING N STUFF.

If they really wanted to make some money they'd change the name to "Project Gray's Sports Almanac".

It doesn't look that bad. Granted, that was just a trailer but it doesn't have that much of Bay's usual motifs in it. Besides, he's done other stuff like The Island, this looks to be more like that than the Transformers movies. I'm not saying it's going to be a classic though.
Personally, I think there's a lot of potential in a movie showing all the bad effects of time travel. I wouldn't mind seeing other directors like Nolan explore it in the future.

Couldn't even tell it was a Bay film so that's a plus. Honestly thought it was a sequel to Chronicle based off of how it looked.

Primer already did a variation of how time travel is too complicated to nab down, and this is Michael Bay, so...

That's what pretty much everyone's been saying since it was announced, that whomever wrote it saw Back to the Future 2 and decided they wanted to write the same basic thing.
Also I second Project Grays Sports Almanac.
