It was mostly miserable and pretty abusive. No.

I've been a pallbearer 4 times in the last 2 1/2 years. Hell yes, I miss it.

I miss things about it: music stores, video stores, a few people who were there who aren't around anymore.
But I don't think I'd trade my future or my present for my past.

I miss my Mom who died when I was 10. Other than that, not really.

Yeah, I still hang on to parts of it, and I actually like that part of myself, but I'm not as obsessed about it as I used to be. It's fun to look back at everything, from the old discontinued products you used to enjoy, to the media of the time, to old friends and great memories from days gone by. The downside is that it's easy to get stuck into wanting it back so badly that you forget to live in the now...
Back in 2013, I met this lost childhood friend/first crush of mine for the first time in 16 years. I took her for a walk on the same trails we traveled as kids on our bike. Caught up on A LOT of missed time. She was still a really cool person (smart, great sense of humor, attractive, into games, the works!), but she was also really busy, lived far away and had many commitments in place (house, boyfriend, etc.). We both liked each other, as I found out later, but the circumstances didn't make sense. Had to let her go, and in turn, I let a lot of other things go, too. It was sort of my way of hitting reset, realizing I was never going to move on until I stopped beating myself up over things I no longer had control over.
Things are a lot better now. Met a great girl, started college, and I still look fondly back on my childhood without feeling so bummed that it's forever over (though we all have those moments, especially while thinking about lost loved ones/friends). I just put it where it belonged - in the past. Sometimes you just need something to wreck you for a few months to set you straight. Losing her again was rough, but I accept that "she's the one that got away", and that's okay. It's part of life, and there are other things left to experience.

Absolutely.
Not that I'm unhappy now in the slightest, but I had a great childhood with great parents and a great sister and a great neighbourhood and a great school.
I was a really happy kid.

I was short, scrawny, and had a high pitched whiny voice. That along with my glasses made me an easy target.
Don't miss it that much.

Certain bits yes, but then again I'm happy now with life, Drive a Car, travel more. Cartoons and Video Games are still apart of my life, I don't give a shit if anyone has a problem with that

Yeah. I miss my childhood.
I screwed up a lot and wish I could have a few do-overs. I wish I participated more in sports/clubs. I wish I didnt become a "fat kid". I wish I had worked harder in academics and taken up certain passions and crafts like acting, music, art at an earlier age so that I could seriously pursue and become competent/proficient in them without things like having to hold down a job and make money getting in the way.

A lot of things I do.
It's easy to reflect fondly on the good things and not remember the bad, which I guess is a good thing.
The only serious thing that I reflect upon that I hated as a kid that I'm glad they fixed was being forced to use a payphone. Outside of that? I'm pretty much okay with how things were 20 years ago.

I miss the parts where I was at home playing. I don't miss the parts where I was miserable at school.

I miss the easiness of life, but I don't miss not having my own money, bullies and having no friends.

No. My childhood was mostly awful but every moment of my life led to me being who I am today so it's all good.

Some of it.
I mean, I don't miss school. I don't miss not being able to drive. I don't miss not making my own money. I don't miss not having as much freedom as I do now.
I guess I miss some small things. But I'm a lot happier today.

Yeah except for 5th and 6th grade when this bully would torment and beat the hell out of me everyday. Lucky I was never held back a grade because I'd miss school so much out of fear of the day ahead. There were no anti-bullying campaigns back then and teacher's didn't care. If I could go back though I would and started lifting weights in pre-school and been ready for his ass.
