List your favourite fighting game characters, and explain why you like them (if you want).
Street Fighter
Blanka: Tricky moves, unique look.
Cammy: Cool design. British.
Fei Long: My favourite Bruce Lee rip-off.
Sakura: Cute mannerisms. Fun personality. Even her theme is all upbeat.
Karin: Dat laugh. And I can't resist a snobby blonde girl.
Skullomania: Just weird.
Garuda: Just badass.
Tekken
Kazuya: Another badass, who came across as just a Ryu clone in the first game, but developed into an interesting character.
Jun: I like the mystery surrounding her character. Her moves were also so elegent looking.
Yoshimitsu: One of the most unique characters ever.
Xiaoyu: Tricky moveset. Fun to annoy people with.
Bruce: He's kind of generic, but I like his moveset.
Lei: So many stances.
Mortal Kombat
Stryker: I was a hater, but MK9 won me around.
Kung Lao: His hat moves were always my favourite.
Jade: My favourite MK lady.
Soul Calibur
Seong Mina: I just prefered her spear to Kilik's stick (may or may not be identifying the weapons correctly).
Amy: Can't resist beating up big strong men with little girls.
Mitsurugi: Typical samurai guy. Gotta pick him.
BlazBlue
Platinum: Blowing bubbles, bouncing on a pogo stick, that forward walk. Just a riot.
Makoto: Fun playstyle, even if her combos are hard as crap.
Guilty Gear
Bedman: Cool moveset, cool intro, cool win pose, cool theme. Cool everthing.
Elphelt: Crazy bride who wants to marry every male char she beats. Also has a unique playstyle.
Faust: One of the weirdest chars ever.

Street Fighter:
Ken- I like how his moveset is similar to Ryu's, but its more flashy and free-flowing rather than Ryu's more stiff-looking offense
Dudley- One of my go-to guys in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike for when I wanna go right at my opponent. He does justice to the sport of boxing.
Chun-Li- My go-to character when I want to play keep-away. She's got the speed plus decent specials.
Tekken:
Lee Chaolan: I started using his character in Tekken 2, mainly because he kinda reminded me of Trunks from DBZ. Really like how his character and moveset have evolved throughout the series.
Devin Jin: He's kept the moveset of Jin from Tekken 3, plus he's added in moves of his own. And there's also that laugh of his.
Bryan Fury: For when you just wanna smash someone's face in, there's Bryan Fury. He adopted Bruce's kickboxing style in Tekken 3, and really fleshed out his style in Tekken 6.
Kazuya: The personification of badass, Kazuya's been a favorite of mine since Tekken 2. The guy survived getting tossed into a friggin volcano, and came back even better than ever. Just a hard-hitting badass.
Paul Phoenix: He may have become more of a comic relief character as of late, but I still really like playing as the guy.
Mortal Kombat:
Johnny Cage: Been my main ever since the original Mortal Kombat. During my time with MK9, Cage was my go-to character. Nothing really flashy, just pure rushdown. Also love his character of being an arrogant jackass who can back it up.
Kung Lao: My secondary character. Playing against a good Kung Lao can be a pain in the ass due to his mixups. But whats not to love about a monk with a razor hat?
Soul Caliber:
Mitsurugi: A badass samurai with so many ways to beat you. And he keeps on finding more with every game.
Raphael: He basically reminds me nowadays of Alucard from Castlevania, only as a fencer.
Nightmare: Not really a fan of slow characters, but Nightmare's an exception due to him being so intimidating.

Street Fighter
Ken - I always preferred Ken over Ryu. His strikes seemed better, his Dragon Punch is better, and I could always limit my mistakes with him.
Cammy - My preferred speed character.
Mortal Kombat
Johnny Cage - Particularly in the original, he was the fastest character (Liu Kang was close), so he was the best to use in a counter-style of play.
Sub-Zero - He was a good mix. Not the fastest, but not hampered as slow. Not the strongest, but pretty close. The various freezing techniques were the clincher for me when comparing him to Scorpion.
Jax - He was a power character with a decent range attack, the gotcha move, and his ground punch was the perfect counter when you make a mistake and your opponent tries to counter you.
Killer Instincts
TJ Combo - When you don't know what you are doing, he is a button masher's dream.
Tusk - He was a fun big hitter.
Tekken
King - I don't play the game very often so I don't know what I am doing, so he is just a fun one to use.
Marvel games
Juggernaut - My favorite power character, though Hulk is also fun when he is actually in the game.
Blackheart - My favorite character for playing when I want to be cheesy. Venom is a little better for this, but he is in fewer games.

KOF: Ash Crimson - I'm comfortable with charge mechanics, plus I like his attitude. Iori Yagami - great design, easy to pick up and play.
Street Fighter: Blanka- ssame game play reasons as Ash, I've always liked wild man characters. Dan- Hilarious and lovable. Chun Li- mostly because I usually do well with her. Guile- I remember how he would always get pushed as the face of the Street Fighter franchise in the US when II was really taking off. I always thought he was way cooler than Ryu. Akuma- because sometimes I don't feel like playing defensively.
Tekken: King- Badass look, sick movement. HHH would flip over him. Marshall Law- probably my favorite of all the Bruce Lee clones in fighting games, he's got the most personality of all of them. Asuka Kazama- so many options in her fighting style, plus I like cute tomboy characters. Heihachi Mishima- just about everything one could want out of a fighting game villain.

I'm an Adon guy.
I've just always loved the Idea that there's this other weasely little Muay Thai master that thinks Sagat sucks and I dig his move set.

Street Fighter: Vega - THe first character I beat the game with, love his speed, range, and moveset Cammy - I don't want to say it's entirely for superficial reasons but... dat ass M. Bison - Really just a cool and creative bad guy, love the heel stomp Gill - Don't know why, because he is cheap as hell, but I loved his story. Alex - One of the only grapplers I ever got half-decent with.
Tekken King - For mostly the same reasons as everyone else has stated Miguel - I like his moveset, even though he falls into the Tekken syndrome of being completely inconsequential Mokujin - I'm terrible playing with him, but he's absolutely hilarious in his endings Kazuya - I loved his heel turn in the games, going what a generic looking protagonist to one of the most heartless bastards in fighting games. Jun - I was actually somewhat decent as her for one.
King of Fighters Benimaru - Love the moveset and style, I've always been a sucker for lightning moves Terry - Nostalgic favorite. I tend to really suck with him, but I;ve been known to yell "Are you ok? BUSTER WOLF!" at random times. Goro Daimon - Love the take on the Judoka
Soul Blade/Calibur I love most of the cast, save for Kilik and Xianghua, but my favorites would be Rock - My favorite from the Soul Blade days, I was awesome with him Mitsurugi - Became my main in the Soul Calibur series, once the game sped up and Rock began to suck Voldo - I was nearly as good with him as Mitsurugi, just because I could be a lot more random
Skullgirls Big Band - Interesting in a game of girls, I'd latch onto, currently, the only guy. But I love the character's moveset an style Ms. Fortune - Her character concept is the most interesting in a long while.
Marvel Vs. Juggernaut - Great tank/powerhouse in casual play
Samurai Shodown Galford - Entirely because of Poppy Mitsurugi - Was really my main. You had to be defensive and pick your spots, which I was pretty good at. Cham Cham - I hated how she was phased out of the series.

I've always been partial to the Mortal Kombat Ninjas. Scorpion/Sub Zero/Reptile/Smoke/etc. and pretty much the entire cast of Street Fighter 2. I'm old school, I don't really play modern fighting games, I'm more into RPGs and WWE games now. Even with the WWE games, it's more about being able to control the storylines than the matches themselves.
