I really can't tell if Hollywood is just that genuinely out of ideas or if it just seems like it because all that's ever reported on are reboots and sequels versus original intellectual properties.

You know, I was really into this show, then I saw the first movie and just stopped watching the show. Not sure why, I really should go back and watch the whole deal and see what I missed.

I for one look forward to finding out how we survived the colonization in 2012.
Also I hope they learned from the last season that if it's not Mulder and Scully, don't bother.

They should add Agent Jesse Ventura to the show.

If you're bringing back Mulder and Scully, can they also bring back The Lone Gunmen?

If you're bringing back Mulder and Scully, can they also bring back The Lone Gunmen? I've been reading the official continuation season 10 comic book, and The Lone Gunmen survived and were in an underground bunker or something like that. To be honest the series isn't that great and I've been thinking of dropping it. As for a continuation show, I would love a mini series or third movie (even if it were a mde for TV/ straight to dvd type thing) that addresses the 2012 colonization stuff, they were stupid not to make the second movie tie up the main dangling plot line from the series. I'd also like to state that I do in fact like Dogget and Reyes, but I would be interested in a show about them AND Mulder and Scully all working together, not as replacements for them. As for a reboot, no thanks. I just want the loose ends to have closure. I'd much rather the networks focus on making new shows that can be iconic in their own right. I think the only reboot TV show I ever saw that was better than the original was Battlestar Galactica.

I'm all for this coming back. With this and Twin Peaks returning, TV would get significantly better.

Finally, I've been waiting twelve years to see the return of Doggett and Reyes.

There's still plenty of people with ideas. It's just the familiar and sure things are more likely to get green lit.

I am not sure how a continuation will work but I hope the Samantha bee clones are in it.
