..that you now regret.
I have thought about making this thread ever since I saw an American Idol dvd many years ago, which was a "worst of" compilation.
Now, I have never watched the show, but it was red hot at the time, and I'm sure a lot of people bought it, but I couldn't help but think about it's replay value, and I just couldn't imagine it doing much more than collecting dust on a shelf after one viewing.
I mean, a dvd that says it's bad. Whatever.
So what's something that you might have bought because it was popular at the time, and then later, you wound up giving it away or you were just stuck with it because its time had passed?

"Master of Orion 2 was so awesome, Master of Orion 3 has to be the greatest game ever!" I said before making the dumbest purchase of my gaming career

The DVD set of "Painkiller Jane." I bought it because I am a fan of the comic book series. I watched about half of the show's only season and while I enjoyed SOME aspects of it, I didn't really care for it. I thought it would have been more like the comic but it wasn't. It had a FEW ties to its source material, though.

A KFC Double-Down sandwich. It's been 3 years and I still regret eating that monstrosity.

God, I remember when that came out and how people were over hyping it. What a piece of shit. Only the second game I ever bought in which I immediately regretted it in over 10 years of buying games at that point. The first? Sim Theme Park.

Legends of Wrestling, probably. I think I got it for like 40 bucks, but still, it's just so mediocre. Total waste of money.
Not my purchase but one of my brothers bought carrot juice and we all tried it.
Picture a horse comes in, chewing on a mouth full of grass. Wishing to wash it down, it borrows your glass of water. Now, this carrot juice basically tasted like if you got that glass back, only now it was full of backwash and grass debris. I don't know what the hell brand this was, but with any justice, the FDA revoked their right to put things into cartoons to unleash on an unprepared, undeserving public.

I rented the game first before I bought it. I really didn't have a problem with the game at first, but then it rather repetitive. I enjoyed it in some areas, but then when I got to the second-to-last district, I was like "Man, how much more do I have to do this?"
