Really happy Montoya won. Also nice drive from Charlie Kimball to come in 3rd.

THAT'S MY GUY!!!! THAT'S MY BIG HOMIE!!!! Dude, I'm marking out so hard right now! JPM damn near killed himself multiple times and he willed himself to victory. This guy has been one of my favorites since he took CART by storm in '99. I followed him through his days at Williams/McLaren in F1 and in NASCAR. I was ecstatic when he came back to IndyCar and when he won at Pocono last year. I'm marking out so hard right now since he won the 500 AND he's leading in the standings heading into the summer stretch. Way to be JPM!

What a f***ing race. Montoya was a machine the last 15 laps. He passed Dixon in the grass for Christ sakes!! Congrats to him.

I have to be honest I was rooting for Montoya more because I was rooting against Power and Dixon, just two predictable names I'm sick of being near the front. Monty thoroughly deserved it though with his drive through the field, and Kimball had a great race to get third

So close to having the first Australian winner of the Indy 500 (still an all-time national best with Power's 2nd place), but good on Montoya anyways.

So close to having the first Australian winner of the Indy 500 (still an all-time national best with Power's 2nd place), but good on Montoya anyways. Besting Vern Schuppan's 3rd place finish in 1981 if I'm not mistaken. This was my 20th 500 and it was one of the best, even if the start was a bit of a mess. I wanted Power to win but I'm not upset with Montoya winning. He fought hard through the field and earned it. Just an outstanding drive from him. The amount of time between wins (2000 - 2015) is the longest in history, think the previous was Gordon Johncock, who won in 1973 and then in 1982. *Edit: Actually AJ Foyt, who won a third 500 in 1967 and then his fourth in 1977. Good on Graham Rahal and Marco Andretti for breaking up the Chevy party in the top-ten. Hondas weren't super competitive this race but they managed some nice finishes. Growing more impressed with Rahal each week. Nice run for Briscoe, going from 31st to 12th. Charlie Kimball had a great day too - 14th to 3rd and drove past Dixon on his way to 3rd. Thought Chaves looked pretty good out there most of the day, even though he ended up 16th. Championship standings after the 500: 1 - Montoya, 272 pts. 2 - Power, 247 pts. 3 - Dixon, 211 pts. 4 - Castroneves, 206 pts. 5 - Rahal, 204 pts. 6 - Newgarden, 173 pts. 7 - Bourdais, 161 pts. 8 - Kimball, 160 pts. 9 - Andretti, 151 pts. 10 - Kanaan, 147 pts.

Truex Jr. decided he didn't want to finish 2nd again and takes the checkers at Pocono. This also makes him driver #10 to win this season.

Another ho-hum Mercedes dominated F1 race, but I'm happy for Valtteri Bottas, getting his first podium of the season. Also, nice drive by Vettel, who started 18th, got up in the points, had a mucked-up pitstop, fell back all the way down again, and still ended up 5th.

Yeah outside of Vettel's crusade through the middle of the grid and Kimi's spin, this was a boring Canadian GP.

Josef Newgarden won for the second time this season with a victory in Toronto. Very fun race from start to finish. CFH Racing finished 1-2 with Luca Filippi in second. Helio Castroneves rounded out the top three. Will Power finished fourth after starting on the pole, his 41st career pole position, which moves him past Rick Mears for fifth most poles all-time.

By the way Porsche got a 1-2 in the top class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Nico Hulkenberg gets a win on his debut and Mark Webber was one of the 3 drivers for the 2nd-place Porsche.
Really happy for Hulk there. He'd probably be in a top F1 team if he wasn't so tall.
