Not the most interesting Chinese GP although there was some fun battles in midfield. Verstappen had another good race, overtaking people unexpectedly. He reminds me of someone who was doing the same thing a few years back, might have been Kamui Kobayashi. Kimi's radio is always amusing. This week he was mostly shouting at back markers to get out the way. Lewis and Nico have found another thing to argue about, with Rosberg thinking Hamilton was driving slower than he could have on purpose. Bahrain up next. It's probably my least favourite race of the year. Finally, I just have to acknowledge how great this movable camera on the car is. The battle of positions outside the top 5 kept the race interesting. Lotus, Sauber, McLaren, Torro Rosso, Red Bull, and Force India were going at it for 6th through 15th all day. That kept things fun. Also, how pissed are those Renault teams today? Their engines are garbage. F1 is finally getting rotating cameras? IndyCar has had them for at least 5 years. Speaking of which watch the IndyCar race today, folks. Should be a good one.

Supposed to be rainy today for the IndyCar race. Qualifying was set by points due to weather yesterday, and there's a lot of drivers that were pretty quick in practice starting low in the field, along with some good wet weather drivers. Should be a lot of fun.

Race today was damn ugly. Hinch got the win, Jakes and de Silvestro in 3rd and 4th after missing a year last season. Karam looked horrible today.
I think this race would have been awesome if the weather would have been just a bit nicer. The green flag stints we saw were awesome, especially at the end. Should be a great one next year if the weather is nice.

I think what really grinded my gears is the fact that IndyCar refused to call local yellows for some of the incident. With that said, this race was an aberration, and I'm sure Long Beach next week is going to kick ass.

The weather did no favors, but man some of the drivers, Karam especially, were driving like idiots too. Again, the green flag stuff we did get was really good but yes way too many yellows. I understand why they do full course yellows. I don't agree, but I get it. But if they're going to call full course yellows for shit like stalled cars, they have got to clean it up in a lap or two, not four or five.

Qualifying for Bahrain threw up a few interesting things.
Vettel split the Mercedes at the front, with Kimi in 4th. Hopefully the Ferraris can give a decent challenge and Hamilton doesn't just run away into the distance.
Sainz made it into the top 10, Kvyat didn't make it out of Q1.
McLaren seem to be making progress, at least when the car is working. Alonso made it into Q2, but Button, who has been having issues all weekend, didn't manage to set a time before his car stopped yet again.

So this has been on my mind for a while, so I thought I'd ask here: Of all the families in racing, be it NASCAR, F1, Indy, Drag and so forth, who would say is the top family name in racing? The Pettys? The Earnhardts? The Andrettis? Perhaps a non-racing family like the Frances or the Hendricks? What do you guys think?

In my specialty of F1 you have the Hills, Graham and Damon, the only father-son combo in history to win at least one world championship. Though, I do hold the opinion the Villeneuves could have done that too had Gilles Villeneuve not died in 1982.

Unsers - 9 Indianapolis 500 victories, 7 national championships, 108 championship race victories, 1,194 laps led at the Indianapolis 500. Victories on speedways, short ovals, dirt tracks, hill climbs, road courses, street courses.

Going by the Bahrain results and it being more competitive at the front, I still think Hamilton will take the title, but there's definitely a fight on for second between Rosberg and the Ferrari's. Putting the start time for Bahrain back seems to have improved the quality of the racing, that's the second year in a row that I've enjoyed it. Button probably wants to forget this weekend, he didn't make the start of the race and only completed 17 laps all weekend. Pit Lane racing. Good work by the Lotus crew to jump 2 cars. Ricciardo's Renault engine just about made it to the end of the race: If they keep going through engines at this pace, it's going to completely destroy their season with penalties.

Catching up on the GP of Long Beach right now - Castroneves is just the worst when he's the pole sitter. Can't remember a time when he's been on the pole where the field was lined up well at the start mostly with him trying to jump the start.

"It was the damndest thing, chief. Just driving along and my fire extinguisher went off!" Finally, I just have to acknowledge how great this movable camera on the car is. "Oh crap, he's passing me. Keep it on pace. Keep it going. Don't screw it u-AH CRAP!!!!"

After delay after delay after delay, we have a winner at Bristol, and it's Matt Kenseth.

Josef Newgarden earned his first IndyCar victory today in Alabama. Great race, highly recommend you watch it if you didn't. Not a big Graham Rahal fan but he was awesome near the end of the race. Made some great passes all over the track and damn near pulled off a win.
Heading into the month of May IndyCar has had four different winners from four different teams. Chevrolet has rolled this year, with three of those wins and eight of the top-ten in the championship standings.

So Honda got their asses kicked in qualifying for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. The bottom ten positions are Hondas, and only one (Hawksworth) made it out of the first round of qualifying. Power is the pole sitter.
