Are Meltzer and PW Insider adding together the 9-11 eastern showing with the 11-1 eastern replay? The 9-11 one airs from 6-8 on the west coast because DA only has one feed for both coasts, while USA Network, SyFy, and Spike TV have two feeds. Wade Keller of the Torch keeps reporting smaller viewership numbers, and I'm thinking the reason could be only counting the first airing vs. adding the two airings together.

Showbuzz reported 517 so looks like a transcription error, but the replay did do 86k for a total of 603k. I feel you probably should add them together considering there's no timeshifting. The DA numbers are always going to be odd since I don't even think the 9-11PM EST numbers include anything other than EST (and Central?) because these numbers are specifically for primetime hours, even though the whole country does get the broadcast. DA must be very pleased.

How do so many people have nothing to do between 9 and 11 on a Friday night? And even if you are home surely Impact isn't the best TV choice available. My country plays a lot of quality movies on Friday nights.

My country plays a lot of quality movies on Friday nights. Well it surprising, but good news for TNA. They still have to make up at least 300,000 viewers, but it's some good news after many, many months of bad news.

I'm surprised by the continued growth on their new network and especially on Fridays - I expected them to hit a steady amount of viewers, maybe around 250K, and stay there, occasionally going up-and-down.
Good on them, though. It's just the shame the show quality has dipped since the ratings have increased, but what do I know about quality.

It honestly kind of blows my mind that TNA apparently has a steady number of hardcore fans. Good for them though.

Good for them. For what it's worth, I've seen more advertisements for Impact in the last couple of weeks than the entire time they were on Spike. Discovery really are publicizing them.

I watched some clips on their youtube channel. For what its worth the feast or fired stuff was pretty funny.
AA's whole bit about how he faked a dive to get the case then did the dive then split was great.
And the actual opening of the cases was a pretty decent segment.
Still don't like the whole BDC stuff though. Just lazy.

Aside from EY (who they're saying isn't BDC) I do think that the group makes sense when you factor in that Joe and Ki have known MVP for over a decade. But as I've said, I think as a whole the product as improved (so far, TNA can always mess it up), I just think TNA has built up a lot of bad feeling that is hard for a lot of people to get over... and a bunch of people on different platforms getting pissed that TNA's ratings have improved for 2 weeks is kind of funny to me (especially when those people were also so gleeful with TNA's ratings being so low on their debut). There's no denying that DA is a huge step down from Spike, but for what DA wants from TNA and what Spike wanted the last few years, there are different standards... and you also can't deny that DA is very much behind their new show

Its a fairly generic heel stable who aren't even keeping up the pretense of cheating like crazy. If they came at it like..i dunno, "We've got the BEST and underappreciated athletes in wrestling today all working together to show TNA and the world what TRUE talent looks like." and then let them progress to cheatery, at least that'd be a progression or something. But this is just "WE'RE HEELS. LOOK AT US. HEELING IT UP! LIKE HEELS!!!!" its just lazy writing.

Just reported this today: IMPACT REPLAY RATING, TAZ TALKS, IMPACT PREVIEW, ROODE IN ITALY AND MORE NEWS by Mike Johnson @ 2:16 PM on 1/27/2015 The TNA Impact Wrestling replay at 11 PM Eastern on 1/23 brought in 86,000 viewers. So, TNA brought in over 600,000 viewers last Friday, not too far under what they were doing towards the end on Spike. The audience is slowly finding them. If they can show Discovery that they can build Destination America as a Network, a lot of doors will open for the company long-term. Rest of the article if anyone cares: {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Speaking of which, for those who asked about the length of the deal with Discovery and Destination America, we hear it's a two year deal with options in place for 3-4 additional years.
The latest episode of Taz's Human Podcast Machine will be released this Thursday, featuring an MVP interview. Taz joined me today for an exclusive 60 minute interview in the Elite section, discussing his Human Podcast Machine series, the journey from pro wrestler to radio to podcasting, the radio contract he almost left WWE for, developing himself as a speaker and how Paul Heyman pushed him to do that, how he was perceived in the ECW locker room and why that was something he apologizes for, using the podcast to reflect on his mistakes, passing his knowledge on to the next generation, thoughts on TNA on Destination America, working with Josh Mathews, being featured more on Impact Wrestling, fan criticisms of the show, Kevin Dunn, whether ECW chants today hurt talents, Bubba Ray Dudley in the Royal Rumble, talking about other wrestling companies on Twitter, TNA's reaction to that, what he wants to bring to his podcasts, competing in that market, and more. Bobby Roode is in Italy today doing a lot of media for TNA.
This Saturday 1/31, TNA's Greatest Matches will feature a Best of Bully Ray episode.

Good for them; for the sake of the talent, I hope things work out decently.
Said it before, but it's strange to see TNA doing what it should've done from the get-go: use a smaller scale budget/roster, focus on having people who can work decent matches (obviously have a few crappy exceptions in there), let the decent wrestling compensate for any crappy booking, and try and build up an audience over time. I hope they stick with simple booking for a good, long while. BDCs formation was kind of lazy, for example, but as long as the four members work regularly and put on good matches, it's easier to get over it when the booking is no better than "meh".

Another 300,000 and they make the bottom rung of the top 100 cable shows on Friday nights. Which would be good for them since they didn't even do that the last couple months on Spike.

My country plays a lot of quality movies on Friday nights. A lot of people work on Saturday morning so they don't go out on Friday night. And I think Impact sucks too, but why give a hard time to people that want to watch it?
