Seems to be getting a pretty positive response on YouTube and Twitter overall. Hoping they can keep this stuff up

I enjoyed that a hell of a lot more than I thought I would.

Shocking Paul Heyman with a mic was completely awesome. Letting Paul talk about his history in the business and that fact that he's been involved since the 70's is always win.

If they keep it up, frankly, I will be actually looking forward to the match. Buildup is like 3/5ths of good wrestling.

That was actually a pretty good interview. I liked how Heyman stated a short history about Romans family and how Roman responded directly to Brock. I didn't like the whole taking a piece of Lesnar thing since though that he would, he would still come out without the title.
Roman without spouting fairy tale lines is cooler that way. Speak softly and carry a big stick should be his style. I still can't buy him beating Brock though....unless a short Shield reunion with all three triple powerbombing Lesnar would be quite the sight.

It made me a lot more interested in the match. Heyman ruled, and Reigns played the part very well. If they keep it up with stuff like this, the feud might be good.

That right there has my interest in this feud. I hope Reigns keeps up the good promo skills.

This snowstorm cancelling Raw turned out to be the best thing to happen for WWE right now. They got the first chance to promote the main event for Mania without a crowd reaction to dictate what happens or distract Reigns or Brock during the promo.

Lesnar's slighty vacant-cum-amused expression as Heyman regales us in the lore of The Rock vs Brock was cool. It was like "yeah, I broke him and I ate him up. That was a good day".

So, we're gonna get some people that were crying last night, make another rash decision and re-subscribe to the network now, right?Right?

Roman did not sell that he can beat Lesnar. His delivery sounded forced and tentative. He actually sounded scared of Lesnar to me.
This of course was a shining moment for Paul Heyman. It's scary he how good a talker he is. I am tired of the announcers bashing him physically and never praising just how good he is on the mic.

That was actually a really good segment. Like f*** Paul Heyman is a f***ing wizard or something like he can sell anything to me and his promo got me really interested in this feud. Like I wasn't interested in this feud at all now I'm intrigued like it was a really well done segment. They had Roman Reigns being the man of few words instead of being Samoan Cena and whenever he spoke it was on to the point without sounding heelish, and f***ing Lesnar man. Gets up immediately like shit was going to go down, extends his slowly and shakes Reigns hand and just delivers "Unlike you, I don't respect you" perfectly while shaking his hand.
I really hope they have Heyman doing most of the talking during this feud and I hope Heyman has a lot of creative input for this feud.

Someone came up with the idea of keeping these two off Raw until the go-home show. Instead run something similar to a mini UFC pre-fight documentary, with training footage of both camps, interviews and lots of Paul Heyman talking. This way you are getting around the dual problems of Brock having limited dates and Roman getting booed.
After tonight, that might be the best way to save this match.

guh. Heyman gives this amazing acting job and then Roman (and Lesnar, for his one line) jump straight into trite, wooden inanity. There was no specificity or character, it was just I WILL WIN I AM TOUGH. What's interesting about a dude who mutters cliches?

This way you are getting around the dual problems of Brock having limited dates and Roman getting booed. After tonight, that might be the best way to save this match. That might be all they can do. I don't want to see some "I know your family and the greatest member couldn't do it" thing, I don't want to see some "is Roman scared" or some "is Brock scared of him" crap. I don't even want to see Reigns beating down other heels or shit before it happens. What I want is for Reigns to do is train, lift, do what it takes like an actual fight. Maybe talk to Ambrose and maybe get a Cena endorsement but let that be it. Just show Reigns getting ready. Also they can abuse Lesnar's rib. They also need to decide if this is Juggernaut Reigns or if this is Cena Reigns. And by god keep him off of tv as little as possible or in taped segments otherwise the boos will eat that boy alive. Simple as that.

It's hard to screw up a segment when Heyman is talking throughout 70% of it. I still just don't believe Reigns' as a character. He still feels like a guy playing tough which normally isn't a problem until you remember who's on the seat next to him. Lesnar may not be the greatest promo, but he's still more believable than Reigns and he has Heyman to back him up there, also he kills it in the ring. One good edited pre-taped segment doesn't sell me on this at all. Reigns needs to be better in the ring. He's not challenging Brock at SummerSlam, or a "b" level show. He's the guy they're trying to sell their biggest show to that attracts the hardest fans in the world to please. I think it's pretty premature to say things are all well and good.
