It's been a rough few days, but here come the boys and girls of NXT to be the cure for what ails ya. Coming to you as always from Full Sail University in Orlando, things are going into overdrive with only two weeks until the next Network special, the as yet un-subtitled Takeover IV.

Tonight, best friends and better enemies Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens meet face-to-face as they sign the contract for their much-anticipated grudge match on February 11. The NXT Championship may not be on the line for this match, but ambush attacks by Owens at both the last Takeover and on NXT TV has brought out an intensity and rage rarely seen in Zayn, who is refusing to wrestle anyone else until he fights Owens. Be prepared for a volatile confrontation.

Tonight will see The Lucha Dragons defend their NXT Tag Team Championship against the pan-Pacific pairing of Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy. Blake and Murphy picked up their first win as a team just last week against The Vaudevillains and, riding a wave of confidence, challenged Sin Cara and Kalisto to a title match. Being fighting champions, the luchadores accepted the challenge and the bout is on for tonight. Will The Lucha Dragons continue their reign? Or will Blake and Murphy pull off another upset and take home the gold?

The first round of the NXT Championship #1 Contenders Tournament continues tonight, with former champion Adrian Neville squaring up against Tyson Kidd and Baron Corbin taking on Bull Dempsey. Which of these four will join Finn Balor and Hideo Itami in the semi-finals?

Finally, women's tag team action takes place as NXT Women's Champion Charlotte teams up with #1 Contender Bayley against the other two #1 Contenders in Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. However this may be a different Bayley than we are accustomed to seeing, as just last week she laid out Charlotte with the Belly-To-Bayley Hugplex after feeling that she was not being treated with any respect by the champion. Can the self-proclaimed "Team Best At Everything" take advantage of the fractured friendship and get the edge for their Fatal 4-Way championship match at Takeover?

All that, and a crowd completely blissfully ignorant of the chaos and outrage surrounding them these days, TONIGHT on NXT!

One booking decision I'm not a fan of is Blake and Murphy getting a title match. I'm not a fan of well, they won one match after losing so many, so let's give them a title match. They could say, yeah, you won a match, you're looking for a tag title match, but you still have a long way to go before you get a title shot. So then you build them up beating a whole bunch of different tag teams, and then at the Takeover show, after winning so many matches, they have earned their tag title shot and they get that. You build up that story.

The 34th installment of Usos vs the Mizanins was somehow better and more memorable than any tag title match I've seen in Full Sail. This particular decision may have to do with two things - their crush on Buddy Murphy and going in a new direction.

Seriously, the Ascenion's year long reign was basically they came out and squashed local jobbers every week.

Then the Lucha Dragons really haven't done much except wrestle the Vaudevillans a few times...

So you have the face champs duck the challenge and insult #BAM? That is worse than what is happening, which is bad at all, IMO.

Maybe Regal simply denies their request. Besides, the babyface champions could say, you guys are a great team, but you're not ready yet. They can talk about how much they respect them and wish them luck. You're not ducking someone who doesn't deserve a title match. If that's the case, why don't I find a partner and challenge for the tag titles?

They're babyfaces, babyfaces don't duck challengers or deny requests and that it is what it would be if Regal or the Lucha Dragons said no. It has been this way since the dawn of wrestling, if you're a good guy and someone challenges you, you agree to the match, you don't say no you aren't good enough piss off until you can beat someone else.

They were called Team Thick for, like, two weeks back in October by the announcers. Then on their next job appearence they were just Blake and Murphy.
