Playing Arkham Knight for the first time. How much f***ing batmobile is in this game? And why does it handle like shit? The worst part of the game. I don't remember how much was in the game but I do remember that I hated that piece of shit. Most people feel the same.

Games usually don't make me throw a fit, but that absolutely did.

Maybe I'm just weird but I really didn't have a problem with the Batmobile.
Not going to say you're all lying because, well, that's not mature, just more weirded out that I didn't.

Here was my experience with Arkham Knight - I got it when I got my PS4, turned it on, played through the first Batmobile segment, never touched it again.

Like, why is The Riddler making him do Batmobile time trials? Why is the "world's greatest detective" spending so much time blowing up drones in a tank?
And if there absolutely has to be this much Batmobile, why does it handle like absolute shit?

I just accidentally bought Dying Light at its normal price because I was too stupid to remove it from my cart when I almost bought it on sale a few weeks ago.
Does Sony help a customer out of this blunder? I’m guessing not. At least it’s a solid game I haven’t played in years.

Update; Sony immediately gave me a refund. Thanks, Sony!

So along with the sales going on right now, there’s also a weekend sale kicking off today with prices cut from Returnal, Demon’s Souls, Miles Morales, Sackboy, Nioh 1 and 2 and Destruction All-Stars.
The first two, and Destruction All-Stars, are the PS5 versions but the others are both PS4 and PS5.
EDIT: On a personal note, I wasn’t sure if anything from the sales grabbed my attention…until I saw Katamari Damarcy ReRoll was 65% off and, well, yes please!
And I also finally brought Miles Morales.

I've quit with Kingdom Come
I tried and tried and tried, but it's so niggly and frustrating that I just wasn't enjoying it.
It's a shame because there IS good game buried in there. The story--what I saw of it--seems good. The world seems good to explore. I like that's it's historically accurate. I like the level up system a lot. I like how your character starts off useless etc.
But the controls are shockingly awkward
The lockpicking--which is vital for many games--is an absolute mess
Combat is awkward and clunky
There are just niggling idiocies---like useless quest markers that guide you to an area and then no clue of where to go then--I spent ages looking for the spot under the tree to bury my parents. Then, I couldn't bury them because I was carrying too much---but the game didn't tell me I needed to drop some items to do it, so I had to go online. All it needed was a message "you can't dig while overburdened"
Henry gets hungry way too fast
And glitches after glitches after glitches
I quite. I just wasn't enjoying it--which is a shame because I could tell if they ironed it out, made the combat less of a chore and smoother, seriously the combat is attorcious. I don't mind combat been hard--it makes sense because he's an untrained blacksmith, that's quite cool. But its the whole needing to move with one joystick, aim up/down/left/right etc with the other while tapping R1, L1, R2 etc to do your actions which made it boring and clunky--made lockpicking less frustrating, added quest markers that actually show you were to go etc, I think it could be a good game.

I played Kingdom Come for awhile. I went on a treasure hunt for the good Pre-Order gear that made me a tank and that made it passable for awhile.
Did you happen to get to the drunk priest quest? That was the most fun I had with it.

I didn't mind it I got annoyed at parts but it never made me turn the game off. What pissed me off the most was the boss tank battle and the tank battle you fight with Deathstroke They just shoehorned it in spots as opposed to it being a cool addition. 2nd playthrough because I knew what was coming, it was actually easier so I didn't get annoyed

Trying the Neo World Ends With You demo I’m not even going to play the demo, just gonna go in blind. But I adored the OG and cannot wait! Also impulse bought Scarlet Nexus today. That’ll keep me busy for awhile.

Trying the Neo World Ends With You demo I just finished it. I was worried about how the battle system would cross over as the touch screen of the DS was so perfect for it, but I like what they've done with it! It's a blast to play. I cannot wait for the full game now. I've waited 13 years, this next month is gonna kill me.

I dunno if I'll ever buy Miles Morales or not. I got it from Gamefly a few months ago and I thought it was pretty good, but it was also pretty much just more of the same of Spider-Man. Pretty much just that game's Arkham Origins except Arkham Origins had decent boss fights.

That was the most fun I had with it. I got just past the prologue, had a quest what needed me to lock pick and packed it in. Lockpicking killed it for me. Tge worst game mechanic Ive seen.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was the game that caught my eye while deciding what to play next, so I've put a bit of time in to it.
I didn't realise just how used to in game tutorials I had become. When you start, there's no "left stick to move, right stick to look" type instructions. Same when you reach the first enemy: No pausing to do a "hit them three times with a weak attack" tutorial, you're expected to just get on with it.
Some doors are locked with glyphs and you have to find a matching one in the environment. Again, apart from the voices telling you to focus (the mechanic to use the glyphs) there's not a simple 'look at that symbol over there" for the first one. The first one took me a few minutes until I noticed a shadow on the wall that matched.
There's other environmental puzzles, nothing too complicated, they are mostly about accessing a couple of different versions of the world and switching between them to progress. There's also pillars where you can hear Norse mythology stories.
The voices are an interesting thing. They are occasionally helpful (pointing out that you're not going the right way, or warning you about another enemy attacking when you're fighting multiple opponents.) but mostly they vocalise all the negative thoughts and doubts. Early on there's a ledge you drop down from and as soon as you do, they start asking, "Why did she do that? she won't be able to go back now. she's stuck now." You might think that having a couple of voices constantly talking might get annoying, but I've not found it so.
It's pretty nice to look at as well, so yeah I'm enjoying it.

As bad as it is, I’m pretty sure the lockpicking even got a console patch to “improve” it. It was absolutely beyond broken at launch. Lol

I see Katamari re-roll is on sale for the first time. Anyone played it? Does it still have the original's soundtrack?
