So Yotei is a mountain in Hokkaido, the northeastern-most of the big four Japanese islands. This is taking place on the completely opposite side of Japan from Tsushima, which is a relatively small island roughly halfway between Kyushu and Korea.
Also seeing someone use a rifle suggests this is way further along from the timeline from Ghost of Tsushima.
