Nice we got Ghost announced but it really feels like big budget gaming is in a major rut and will be for the foreseeable future. Selfishly a lot of that is big budget gaming just not having much at all that appeals to me so that could be coloring my view but it just feels like not much is really exciting this gen. Big budget entertainment also feels like it's been in a rut since like covid but that's probably another story.

So right at the dawn of Tokugawa Ieyasu's reign as shogun.

Interesting that it's only about 25-30 years later than Assassin's Creed Shadows.  Granted, Japanese society changed a LOT in those 25-30 years and it looks like Shadows will stick mostly to the Kansai region and maybe go a little further east or west in that part of Honshu while Yotei will stick to the northern frontier in Hokkaido. Still that's a hell of a coincidence.

Things definitely changed to some degree. Can't see there being any chance they bum rush through three or four Spider-Man add-ons and put out Venom all in the next year.

I remember what a big deal it was when it was announced that Arkham Knight was only going to be on the PS4/XBO. This gen being mostly remakes and remasters is a big disappointment.

Shadow of Yotei looks awesome though. Looking forward to that.

Decent month for PS+

I bought Dead Space a couple of months ago, but if I hadn't, I would be pleased with its addition. I look forward to giving WWE a go.

I actually disliked the Dead Space Remake. I found it boring and not scary at all. For me with horror games--less is more. Walking into pretty much every single room in DS and seeing it full of blood and gore and dismembered bodies got old real quick. It lost its shock factor.

Just bought Crow Country and it's really good. The only thing I dislike is that analog control feels too easy to play with while tank control is kind of annoying with the camera setup. Still, very happy with it and it will probably wind up being my second favorite game this year behind Astrobot.

My 7yo son really loves watching me fight the robots, but I'm not big on letting him play games where you can kill realistic humans yet. So it is PERFECT for us.
