One of the first major interviews I got was with Nancy and, about half way through, Chris. This was 1999, and they seemed quite happy back then. That interview, it still haunts me a little.

I've always wondered, on the night it happened, was it the result of a fight or did he just up and kill them No one knows, but I'd guess a fight that went horribly wrong. |

Consider the source. I'd take it with a packet of salt. How many dimes did Mike Graham draw? Wiki may have answered that for me by dropping the knowledge of his epic two year feud with Buck Zumhofe. See, and I really don't mean to disrespect the dead, but I think the reason why so many people on the internet give Mike Graham so much more of a edge of believability over other shoot interviewees is because Graham openly admits himself that he was never a draw. While that's true, copping to one's biggest critique does not and should not make someone a sudden paragon of credibility. And I say this as someone who has never worked for a professional wrestling company. |

Val Venis and Bob Holly's theories sound the most accurate to me. Both stated they believe Chris and Nancy had too much to drink, got into a fight that became to physical, in his drunk/blacked out stage he went too far and killed Nancy on accident. Once he sobered up and realized what happened that's what truly sent him over the edge. Not exactly word or word of course, however, that was me paraphrasing their theories from Holly's book and Val's shoot interview. |
