Has there ever been any reports about what kind of husband he was to her? The actions at the end of his life seems to be that of someone whos been terrible to live with.

I've heard he was quite difficult to live with.

In this context, it'd make more sense to refer to her as Nancy.

According to Bob Holly, Benoit told him that it was hell living with Nancy. They obviously had problems. Holly also said something about Benoit having a bad financial situation, and that he would have to work until he was sixty. Benoit was obviously really burned out and tired. I guess they had one fight too much and Benoit, unfortunately, went too far that time. The whole thing is a tragedy.

I read somewhere years ago about Benoit's state of mind before the killings. Like he assumed his house was being watchedby somebody and wouldn't let Daniel or Nancy leave because he thought they were in danger.
I think it was only speculation from a neighbour or something but it was a chilling thing to read.
I've actually just creeped myself out thinking about it.

It's a profoundly sad situation, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems like their relationship was one where there was love, but also anger and tension, as well as an increasing sense at the end of feeling trapped, likely for both parties. This is a potent combination for problems, and not unlike Phil Hartman's wife.

Just based on how that relationship ended, it's more than fair to call Benoit a shitty husband by default.

By all accounts I've seen, they were two people who should NEVER have gotten together in the 1st place. Like gasoline and fire.

According to Mike Graham, Nancy kept telling Chris that Kevin Sullivan was gonna get him.

Just goes to show that the companies have access to that kind of information, and make decisions on who push and who not to push based on them. WCW gets a lot of flack for not pushing guys like Benoit, but hardcore fans fail to understand that the general public's taste for entertainment is totally different. If people changed the channel when Benoit was on their TV screen, the company can't be faulted for not giving that character any more TV time.

Uhhh no, that IS an abusive husband. Perhaps Nancy was an abusive wife as well, but just because there's no evidence he directly hit her, doesn't mean the other stuff doesn't constitute as abuse.

I think they were probably both fairly abrasive people and their domestic situation was pretty tense more often than not.
I've heard that Nancy wanted to have Chris home more for Daniel about the time he started getting his big push and I'm sure that led to some drama.

They had some issues before that I think Nancy filed for divorce in the early 2000's but they worked it out. I remember reading that another big issue was that Chris's older children from his other marriage didn't get a long with Nancy. I THINK it was Nancy's sister that said it, but either way they said that David was always cordial with Nancy, but Megan did not like her at all and it put a lot of stress on Nancy and Chris's marriage especially since the kids lived in Canada.

How many dimes did Mike Graham draw? Wiki may have answered that for me by dropping the knowledge of his epic two year feud with Buck Zumhofe.
