Gotta say, not feeling Pollo's new voice.
And I know it's Galador, but man if I don't keep hearing Gallifrey every time it's said.

Isn't Pollo's new voice just Film Brain?
Really like this half of the retrospective. Can't wait 'til the next part, when something happens to the Wraiths and shit gets real.

Isn't Pollo's new voice just Film Brain? No, it's the title card artist for him.

Ah, ok. Wasn't paying attention to any credits, just seemed to sound like FB when he finalized on the British accent.

Rom was fantastic. Good review as well. I actually like these sort of reviews much better, where he's praising/talking about a decent book. The negative ones can be fun too, but on those he goes kinda overboard at times.

That looks like a bloody brilliant comic. I hope they can sort out the licensing issues and give it a proper release or some kind of adaptation, especially since the video says they apparently wanted ROM to make an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy so obviously it's not a completely forgotten character and there is a market for it.

It's great stuff. Plus in later issues you get to see latter day Steve Ditko art. In 65 he draws damn near all the Marvel heroes in that battle against Wraithworld.
There's a certain web slinger conspicuously absent though. It's not overt or anything, and most of the heroes drawn are just in team pictures--- like you have a panel with the Avengers, one with the X-men, Defenders etc; but then you've got a panel with some of the international heroes like Shamrock, Arabian Knight, Sabra et al.. and no Spidey.
I always wondered if that wasn't a personal choice by Steve to not put him in there.

I was curious enough that I looked it up, and in a way you're right in that Spidey in the black suit makes it on panel in the background (I don't remember seeing him, but I haven't pulled that book outta the longbox for a long time), but it was the inker that did it without Ditko's knowledge: unitedfanzineorganization.weebly.com/ditkofaq.html#014It just strikes me as something Steve would do, to never, ever draw Spider-man again.
