The day I stop playing games is the day I stop living.

If you enjoy playing them, then no.
I wish I had time to play some video games. I haven't owned a video game in almost three years. I recently got very close to buying a few, but then realized they'd just collect dust.

If 70+ year old grandparents can play Wii Sports and Wii Fit in retirement communities, I don't think there's any reason to ever stop playing games unless you simply lose interest.

I echo those who say keep playing if it makes you happy.
I don't sit down and play for hours and hours. But there are occasions some nights I'll get home, have dinner, then sit and play Xbox for an hour or so. I find that it helps decompress from my day. I see no harm in it

Yeah, you should probably stop playing video games after you're about 23, dude. Otherwise, it's prrreeety pathetic. I don't see how enjoying something like video games can be pathetic. I mean, being obsessed and doing absolutely NOTHING but playing video games is one thing, but just actively enjoying them and being a gamer doesn't mean you're a loser for life. NEEEERRRRRRRRDDDDDDD. (just joking btw, gamer for life ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )

It's a question we're bound to ask, being a part of the first generation to grow up with video games. So we really have no reference generation. It all comes down to, what everyone else has said, if you enjoy it... keep doing it. I'm 36, love video games, and see no end in sight in the near future. Do I play for hours upon hours on end anymore? No. But, I do look forward and enjoy what time I do have with them.

I think the question may come down more to "is there a time to stop being a 'gamer'", or however you want to phrase it.
Games aren't going anywhere. Mobile, computer, console, etc., you even have to count those annoying Facebook games your relatives bug you with notifications from.
But I guess the bigger question has to do with committing to games as a really time-consuming/money-consuming hobby. On that front, I do feel there's an expiration date on stuff like that, if only because letting any single hobby monopolize your time and income can be unhealthy. But games themselves? Most of those annoying Facebook notifications come from people older than me, people in their 40s and 50s, so no, the idea of putting games down entirely isn't likely for most of us.

Game on, until Game Over.
With any luck there will be a New Game+.
