Anyone to recommend? I like authors that writes standalone books rather than series' about the same characters. It's what makes John Grisham so great.
I love reading those that partly writes from the villains perspective. A reason I adore Dean Koontz so much.
Another preferance is novels taking place in political circles the way David Baldacci does so excellently.

He's got running characters, but I always recommend Michael Connelly.
