It's four weeks away from Wrestlemania, a show built on crossovers with the entertainment industry, but we won't have a wait a month for the long awaited collision between Seth Rollins and Jon Stewart. The host of the Daily Show has engaged in a war of words between himself and the Architect, but Rollins invaded the Daily Show last week to personally issue an invitation for this week's Raw. In addition to his feud with Jon Stewart, Seth Rollins also has to be attentive towards Randy Orton, who was brought back into the Authority camp by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. However, it remains to be seen whether Orton can coexist with Rollins, or if Orton even wants to coexist with Rollins. Can Rollins settle the score with Jon Stewart, while ensuring everything goes well in the Authority family? Or will the Future come crashing down tonight?
In a story that has been far more entertaining behind the curtain, Roman Reigns will be challenging for the WWE World Heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar. Last week, Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman deemed Reigns the right guy at the right place at the wrong time. With the champion not advertised to appear on this show (and not even appearing on shows he is advertised for), look for Paul Heyman to talk even louder about his client, while the the challenger looks to prove he can indeed slay the Beast Incarnate. Also, what will the reception be for Roman, now that Raw has returned to the East Coast of America?
Also on tap for Wrestlemania 31 is Sting vs. Triple H, and Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt. Don't expect too much advancement on those feuds though, because I don't think we need a spoiler alert to say that Undertaker and Sting won't be here tonight.
Well, where is all the current main event starpower for this year's Wrestlemania? They are playing hot potato with the Intercontinental title, almost literally (Well, the title isn't actually a potato, but you know what I mean). Currently in possession of the title belt is Dean Ambrose, who stole the title from Bad News Barrett at Fastlane. Last week on Smackdown, it was announced that Barrett will defend the title in a multi-man Ladder match at Wrestlemania 31, and it seems likely that names like Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and perhaps even R-Truth may be #GivenAChance at the Biggest Stage in Sports Entertainment.
One man who hasn't been given a chance at Wrestlemania yet is John Cena, who fell short in his chance at the US title at Fastlane, thanks to a distraction from Lana and an opportunistic low blow from Rusev, causing the Cenation Leader to pass out in Accolade, giving Rusev the submission victory. Last week on Raw, Cena asked Rusev for a rematch at Wrestlemania, but was denied his chance for redemption by Rusev himself. What lengths will Cena go to to redeem himself and reinforce his motto of NEVER GIVE UP?
Also on tap for Wrestlemania is the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The announced lineup for this match is The Miz, Ryback, Fandango, Adam Rose, and the man who is still in the Royal Rumble match, Curtis "#AXELMANIA" Axel. Who else will be announced for the big battle royal?
All this, and Vince wondering why his 14 second women's matches aren't viewed with the same respect as Ronda Rousey's, live from Newark, New Jersey at 8PM EST, with the pre-show starting at 7:30. Also, be sure to tune into WWE Network after Raw for the new episode of WWE 24, featuring Booker T. Note that the thread for that will be in the WWE Network board.
