Star of things like "Super Troopers", "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Seinfeld". I'm reading he died of complications with diabetes. He'd lost a leg years ago. Tried to commit suicide in 2012. He's from my hometown Reading, Ohio. I interviewed him in high school and frankly he was an asshole. But I was 16. So I get it. He was troubled and his final years were rough. Saw him at a bar when I was doing stand up once. He did not laugh lol. I'm a fan of his. He's also s reminder to control my diabetes. Sorry this got personal and sappy. My son tells me his company STINKS!
Seriously though, I was a fan of him in things I'd seen him in and it's sad to hear how rough his life was. RIP

He's one of those "that guy" actors who would appear in small parts in several films. He was in two of my favourite 90s films, The Silence of the Lambs and Crimson Tide along with other films I like such as Basic Instinct, The Faculty and Amistad. RIP

He was the film equivalent of wrestling's "solid hand". He was just so natural playing all these parts, he fit in seamlessly.

I didn't realize all his problems in recent years. A great character actor.

Remember him most as Commandant Spangler from Malcolm in the Middle. I liked that character. RIP That's who I remember him, as well, with Mr. Kruger, George's incompetent boss from "Seinfeld". KYUGER! He shall be missed, because he was a solid actor that was good at everything he did.

He was in one of the most remembered Seinfeld episodes which is the Festivus one. So he'll be remembered for that for a long while.

Well, crap. Loved him as the commandant. The guy had a lot of fun villainous roles over the years.

Yeah, I remember him having a lot of small roles as police or military officers. Yeah, he was definitely good being authority figures. He had a good look and voice for it.
