Oh please please please let them include more options for creating your own band member and more stuff happening to your band during game play! The playing part is easy to put in and kinda repetitive, but I'd love to see a sort of random storyline thrown in like what they did for the Smackdown vs. Raw games. Even if it's just text and you get cash, I'd just like to see more stuff. What I mean is, yeah, include the traditional "win a bus" "win a plane" ect, but maybe also throw in stuff like "Your manager booked you in a very snooty arena, play well and you'll get extra popularity" or "your bassist is being rather arrogant, choose a song that's hard on them to put them in their place" stuff like that. Reminds me of one I thought of when RB first came out, to stay with your sound or try something new (For example if your band performs metal like Megadeth, you could get extra money for performing Van Halen or Queen or even OK GO)

This is honestly the first time I've really considered buying a PS4.

I just hope the new instruments are compatible with the older games (and systems), too. My Rock Band guitar is beat the hell up and the legacy instruments are hard as hell to come by these days.
Also it makes me sad that I'd have to get an Xbox One in order to transfer my DLC library over to RB4 as I was planning on making the PS4 my next gen system of choice and all my Rock Band stuff is on the 360. But I can understand something like that is completely out of Harmonix's hands.

I was lucky enough to find a RB 2 drum top (no stand, sticks or cymbals) for $0.25 at a garage sale last year to replace my beat up RB 1 drum top

Harmonix has said they want to cut deals with Microsoft and Sony to release an attachment or dongle of some sort to allow legacy controllers.

Yes, I know that in itself will be tough since the majority of Rock Band stuff is wireless so a dongle wouldn't really work it'd need a wireless receiver of some sort. But he was asking if the New controllers would work with the old games. I'm going to assume no on Microsoft's end on that since XBOX one controllers cant be used for 360, while PS4 controllers can be used on PS3 (but not vice versa)

I was riding high with a new Rock Band game to look forward to, until somebody posted something that gave me a startling realization... I put Harmonix's kids through college with all the DLC I bought for the RB games. I'm going to have to start all over when I buy a PS4.

I mean, it might actually be cheaper for me to just bite the bullet for an Xbox One than re-buy all the DLC. I bought a LOT of Rock Band DLC over the years.
I know Harmonix said they'd try to work something out, but I'd be shocked if they succeeded.

Rock Band 4 developers talk about their favorite songs... This is not just content to bump this thread... This was made May 1st, they said they were doing a new one each week... they are a bunch of liars! But hey here's the first one anyway... www.harmonixmusic.com/blog/rb-allis-favorites/

In other semi-related news... I managed to fix the Musician I had printed back when they were doing that with Rock Band 2... it fell off my shelf months ago and broke into 3 pieces...
I was pissed...
Also I missed that stuff with Rock Band 3 ... I played with the photo booth on the Rock Band site a ton.
In other news E3 is in a month and I expect some actual Game Related news to be happening there...

The single player mode is supposed to be like a "Rock Band RPG." Guess we'll see how that actually works in-game, but it sounds interesting.
