I'd love a genuine answer as to what Shane Helms could bring to a wrestling product in 2015.

I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that nobody cares.

Oh joy, so TNA can totally regress into being a remake of OMEGA, and they can all play their crappy childhood characters.
We will see the retun of Willow.

Matt Hardy was on fire in ROH. That's all I can think of to say about this.

Might as well give my thoughts.
I think Gregory Helms is yet another guy like MVP, Kennedy etc that hasn't been relevant in 5 years or more and will bring nothing of benefit to TNA. I am a fan of Helms and loved his work back in WCW and during his WWE Cruiserweight Title run but he is now 40, he's quite injury prone, the character that made him most famous is unavailable to TNA and he is yet another old guy who is taking up money and spots of 1-2 young guys who could potentially make TNA money in the future.
With the recent signings of Matt Hardy and now allegedly Greg Helms you have 2 guys who are taking up spots and money from 4 guys with potential. Why does TNA need these old guys when they could be trying to sign new and fresh talent?

There's one good thing I can say about potentially adding Helms to their roster: he was really good on commentary at the latest HOH show, so if they wanted to replace Taz with someone, I'm all in for Helms being the man for the job.

I'd love a genuine answer as to what Shane Helms could bring to a wrestling product in 2015. I will say that Helms would be a good veteran to have on the roster of young guys, where he was one of the few veterans. But, because that's not the case with TNA, he kinda doesn't fit.

Nobody cares about Helms unless he brings SHIT with him I think Rosey's having health problems, last I heard. Hopefully he's doing better now. I am honestly a little surprised he hasn't ended up in TNA before now. I'll just do what I tend to do with signings like this, and just shrug.

Since the thread is tagged with Spoilers, then i can say this. They are bringing in some new talent. Shaun Ricker from CWFH looks to be joining TNA with the Drew Galloway/MVP Rivalry that seems to be brewing.

Shane Helms is a lot like MVP and Lashley where he's been so far removed from WWE that it's not really TNA hoping for a "WWE Guy to move the needle". Like them, Helms can actually become a "TNA Guy".
Shane Helms isn't a "big" name Kurt Angle. Hell, he isn't even on the level of Matt Hardy, so he's probably pretty cheap.

Wasn't there a rumor that they were gonna sign him years ago but his ex Velvet Sky threw a temper tantrum and they never hired Helms?
In my opinion I would just bring him as an agent
